Deleted Review
Forget the score for a moment. There is not a single sentence that urges the author to think of his game in a different light or improve. Everything feels forced with the sole intention of helping the game author sleep at night. Anyone knows this from a mile away.
This is sad because there's a chance to have a discussion and defend the game as to why it isn't bad. But all you do is summarize what's in the game and then say it's good. We already know it's your opinion, but we want to know why. You might as well have written "the game is great" and be done with it, but because the review system requires a certain amount of characters you have to pad it out.
Corfaisus's review is also shit, but it had like 2 sentences worth of criticism so idk.

Yeah I think people need to like, chill out more. The gameplay was just a roadblock for the reviewer and that's enough to explain why he was frustrated with the game. Do you really want the reviewer to write filler paragraphs that just contain graphics good sound good story okay. It's like someone reviewing a mister big t game and being offended by the content and subject matter then someone asks "hey how come you didn't talk about the mapping???"
Like idk, do people ever have a problem with positive reviews focusing way too much on one aspect?

What is there to contribute when you have someone bumping into ebert's law of all things? And you attempting to redefine what a review is when really the key responsibility of the reviewer is to explain WHY he didn't like it/liked it. Saying that characters aren't badly written just because they're unlikable is pretty dang DEBATE-ABLE given that's a huge thing for a lot of RPGs (which usually have character driven stories in which it's probably a good idea to give a protag at least some sort of sympathy or relation). There are probably some exceptions but I doubt there are deliberate intentions behind the subject matter. You can't even admit that's just your preference and proceed to go on like it's a fact that it's not a possible issue.
