Yeah, I may disappear from time to time with little to no explanation of my whereabouts (it’s the aliens, I swear!), but, like a blind cocker spaniel, I always seem to come back. Always.

Yes...I wonder if Arc has evil plans for the janitor who clearly failed his duties...mwa ha ha.
Maybe it will be like Chrono Trigger and he'll turn into a skeleton upon examination, lol.
-=takes notes=-
Pretty sure everything else in CT has been ripped off at some point or another -=smirk=-
Screenshot Survival 20XX

Per Addit, Pocken's janitor sucks. Arc made an epic lighting effect because I seem to have this mental blockage when it comes to that kinda stuff lel.

Yeah, Arc and I were saying something similar. We kept it narrow for the sake of the screenshot, but we'll probably add an extra tile of walking space.
Edit: Nice to see you around again, Addit!
Edit2: Yes...I wonder if Arc has evil plans for the janitor who clearly failed his duties...mwa ha ha.

It would be cool to feature Moonsong soon. Although it's the first chapter in what was intended to be a larger story, it's still a competent entry on its own. The environments are pretty and the skill trees are super engaging. The combat, while easy, is very rewarding for those who master the systems.

Comfort food for 16-bit fans.

Stat adjustment can be a lot of fun. Look at Ragnarok Online. Some private servers let you adjust your stats whenever you want. Certain powerful enemies require a certain stat allocation to beat, which requires you to plan ahead and micromanage your character. It makes the leveling process a lot of fun, especially if you can find a new efficient way to proceed. Of course, that's a grindy MMO and not a fast-paced indie RPG, but the core is the same: character flexibility can work wonders in a nonlinear game if the combat is rewarding.

This will likely be my last solo project to use the RTP

I am so use to photoshop at this point and have it set up for pixeling that I can't bring myself to go for Aesprite myself. I am pretty sure I got it in a humble bundle at one time though. Is it that much better?
I need to pay more attention to these deals, lol.

I'll have to give it a shot! Right now I'm using Photoshop haha.
Also, those White Screw assets look sexy af.

Whether it's justified or not, it's true that many people avoid games which use the RTP resources. Not using RTP can certainly help your games stand out.
Oh for sure. And there's a huge preference for the 16-bit style. Even commonly used resources like Rudra and REFMAP are far more popular.
