Dialogue when recruiting characters
The big problem I see with this topic is that the original poster didn't properly convey exactly what it is he was after. Or should I say, he did it so broadly that it's like he asked "Guys, I'm making an RPG. What should my battle system be like?"
Let's wait for him to narrow it down before getting noisy about the debateability of subjective topics.

Almost There
So will this be a "Part 1" in such a way that you'll be starting a brand new game for part 2, or is it just half the game that's being released and you're still going?

This avatar is actually left over from another forum I used to frequent many years ago. I didn't use it for very long (I was one of those switch-every-month types) so I thought "why make a brand new av?"
AFTERMATH VX - Version 0.4
Actually, a nuclear holocaust is a worse scenario than their stupid Malthusian ideas :P
The whole point of the New World Order is to make people believe that the incoming tyrannical society is somehow necessary. Right now, Americans believe that ragheads in caves armed with second-hand AK-47s are out to get them, so they happily accept being X-rayed and groped when getting on planes (soon to be all public transit and malls/stadiums/concerts). The NWO is just a gross expansion on this concept.
Resisting the NWO is easy. You just don't comply. If enough people do it, you get a political movement against it and eventually you win. The idea of a big concerted uprising is more over-the-top than some of the theories out there <:P but that's not the point of this game.

A thought : If you could hasten the searching process a tad, it would definitely be a big help. Either with faster text, or have an icon/message appear in a parallel event so it doesn't interrupt gameplay flow.
You don't want people to nickname this "Scavenge for Bricks : The Video Game".

Trying to Get the missus into RM
For the perspective of a total newbie, try recommending Ara Fell : Legend of Dirisetsu Hollow. It was one of the first RM games I played and it left a big impression on me.
Very attractive, fun, and the system isn't so overly complicated that someone would be left dumbfounded if trying to imitate it.

Man, that's a lot of "Searching.... found nothing"s you have to program for just about every object in the world.
How much to charge for videogame music?
author=ThiamorUnfortunately, a piece of paper saying "You are a professional" does not classify you as a professional.
Actually, if you get something stating you're a musician, out of a university or a college, you're considered a professional musician. Someone who just thinks you have to be getting paid to be one doesn't magically change that fact.
Certification and credentials certainly exist, but they exist for tangible skills with serious consequences for amateurism like engineering or heavy machine operation. Music is something you can do whether you're an accomplished artist with a home studio or a jailbird with a harmonica.
Arguing otherwise would imply that musicians such as Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain were never "professional musicians" because they never attended post-secondary school.
