The Screenshot Topic Returns

Need a second opinion. And a third. Many will do.
The first image has resolution clash while the second has big black outlines reminiscient of 80s anime. Which looks better?

Do I detect sparkle effects on the signboards? Nice :)
What's with the orange gound tile below the item shop sign? Is that just to signify that you can enter?

Working out some finer details in Eternal Paradise. So which do you think looks better? The first or second image?

The first one, and I don't think there's any problem with showing age.
The default RM2k font is overused anyway.

Somebody forgot to turn off the artificial waterfall pumps when the city was destroyed X thousand years ago.

I squished him.
Elder Haggar was tougher. I guess something named after the mayor of Metro City would be.

What makes a hero?

jc's anti-hero isn't correct.
A hero typically embodies the moral values of the culture which created it. What separates a hero from an anti-hero is partly method, but mostly motivation. Usually he's doing his own thing which inadvertently thwarts evil-doers, or is forced to thwart them against his will.
Classic example of an anti-hero? Snake Plisken.

Shadows of Evil: Wings of Time Deluxe

I just beat the game :O
The gameplay was very well refined throughout. Even though it uses the default 2k3 battle engine, the enemies were always doing new stuff that required a new way of attacking the dungeon. You actually had me hating random battles in a few places, which hasn't happened with me since the Mutants from 7th Saga.

You need to review the ending sequence though. Specifically the throne room scene. You were moving the 'Hero' instead of 'Lilliana' and various people were crashing into walls, locking up the game.

Ability Progression, plus new media:

Your music is badass :o

Wut? I can't hear you.
Not like it would matter. I wouldn't understand anyway.

What Kind of Villian?

Given that your storyline sounds like a character-based tale, you would do well to have a character-based enemy.
So basically, rather than an omnipotent being to rally against, you should start with a character design and give him/her opposite traits to your protagonist and maybe add an unhealthy tendency towards corruption if opposite-dome isn't cutting it. He/she doesn't even need super powers or anything. Rivalry can do the trick, if done properly.
Though try not to end up with 4 people ganging up on a single person whose strength is only equal to the protagonist's :)
