ELDER71'S PROFILE

Hi, I'm Stephen, lead designer of OMNIS - The Erias Line.

Aspiring game-dev, societal drop-out, coffee drinker, chain vaper. Pixel tweaker. Location maker. Character dreamer-upper.

Also a part-time Parallax Mapper available on commission.
(contact me re: commissions at elder71@hotmail.co.uk)

ALSO - I like reviewing games. If you're looking to get your game fairly reviewed with constructive criticism/feedback, PM me or email me or otherwise contact me telepathically. My messenger-pigeon service is out of order following an unfortunate incident that involved a jumbo-jet engine.

Cheers,

S.E

Looking for an RPG something to review. Not horror, preferably.

There really are a ton of games. I have made a huge list of interesting/weird/fun sounding titles and when I go to review something, I just browse and pick something out of it.

But now that I think of it ..

Would come to mind as one that the creator has improved recently and would like more feedback on. Pretty long, only the beginning is a little bit tough to get through.

Yeah, I know there are tons of unreviewed games, I just thought I'd offer myself to anyone who particularly wanted a review. If that even makes sense...I suppose everyone wants reviews... I'm also picky and indecisive when it comes to games, so thanks to this thread I've now got two to be working on!

Thanks to all.

do people even make non-horror RPGs anymore?
For what it's worth, most of the horror games are not RPGs, they're just straight-up horror, right?

@Elder71: You could take a look at the review request topic, there's a good mix of games there.

Yes! I will do. Thank you.

I have a few theories as to why horror games are so prevalent within the RPG Maker world, but that's for another day. Hopefully this status will raise a few non-horror titles to the surface :)

Does it have to be complete?

Not at all, but I don't tend to approach demos with much additional 'forgiveness' just because they're demos, if you get me.

Working on a one-day horror game called "The Allison Door". For fun.

The concept alone turned to be more ambitious than a single day could fit.

May have to remain incomplete, sadly. Half the day gone and I'm barely past the first few scenes.

Yay fun!

Judging by the look of OMNIS, I'm looking forward to seeing how The Allison Door turns out.

Well, as a one (perhaps two...) day limited project and almost entirely RTP. So it's got nowhere near the scope OMNIS has. It's kind of just a creative exercise really. I'll upload it though, damage to my rep (such as it might be) be damned!

Regan Isolde redesign

Her arms are too short. Human arms and hands tend to stretch down to about mid-thigh.

Thanks for the pointer. It's as easy fix.

Regan Isolde redesign

I should add that the unfortunate caveat of this new design is that she (Regan) no longer matches the artwork of her that it took days to do. Sad face.

Researching Artist Commissions

Heyo.
Sorry for butting in here but should you be looking for a character/promo/additional artist I would like to volunteer my services.

Here's my portfolio and art blog.

Free sample art is a thing I do, pricing is negotiable, my style is flexible.
My business email is ceriseisacolor(at)gmail(dot)com if you'd like to discuss possibilities-

No problemo, I've sent you an email. Could you let me know if nothing comes through?

Researching Artist Commissions

Lotta good stuff there, there're more pointers available in your reply there than I thought could exist. Comprehensive. Thank you!

Researching Artist Commissions

I just went through this wringer myself for a character artist. I ended up doing a bidding system where I gave a description of each piece I would need and allowed the artists to submit their own price for the entire commission and expected time frame. My chosen artist's work ended up averaging $75 per piece, and the results are quite top notch. I had them designed in such a way that it is easy to reuse portions for face portraits, speaking portraits, and advertising materials all at once to save some time and cash.

Best of luck on your Kickstarter!

They are top notch, yes! I hadn't considered any kind of bidding process, do you mind if I ask where you hosted it and how, if at all, you promoted it? I realise I risk possible infringement on your trade secrets, but every pointer is a big boost at this stage.
