Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

Anyone have any tips for defeating the boss of
Berona Research Facility? Duo Flare and Double Kick is a party wipe.

Berserk doesn't work with the Genji Glove. The afflicted character only attacks once.

I found a really weird bug related to Silas.

Again, I'm not sure if it was mentioned before. On very rare occasion, when you select Silas' Blade Art command and go to the menu inside of it to choose which skill to use (Climhazzard, Shatterstrike, etc) Silas will end up using a Blade Art on himself (while I'm still in the menu). I've had this happen to me a few times so far and usually nothing will happen and the battle will play on normally. However, the last time this happened, somehow every single character's battle animation got messed up and they all disappeared. Nothing happened to them (didn't die or lose HP) but their battle animations were all over the place. I'm at Moogle Village, and so far the only way the battle animations have been able to fix themselves is if that character died. So, Cid hasn't died since the incident and his battle pose is locked into him running away. I'm not sure if anyone's encountered this yet...does anyone else use Silas frequently?

Also, his second Limit, Harbinger, says it attacks all enemies, but it is single target.

Oh, and forgot to mention the Moss Worm can be encountered while riding Winter.

Also, there is a card house in Castora despite the info guys in the card houses saying there is one located in four other towns in Berona but not that one.

About the difficulty...

It's picking up finally. I think around Lenadia I noticed a steady increase in difficulty and I'm up to the point where the regular battles and bosses have become challenging enough to not use the Moogle Charm after a few fights. I'll also attribute this to the party split as I've been neglecting using Carina up till now (I chose her scenario as the first). Not having a dedicated black mage is hard,
but the game hasn't been cheap so far so that's good. I will say this though -- magic trumps physical attacks without question. I've taught all my characters some of the "2" level black magic and I pretty much spam them every battle, as they do maybe twice the damage my physical attacks do most of the time, plus they cannot be dodged whereas physicals seem to have an 80% or less chance of hitting. The only other suggestion I would make is to be able to change Cid's equipment as it's become obsolete.

BTW, the hummingway room in Moogle Village has a bed that is "below hero" and I am able to walk on it. Not an issue just a small fix.

I've been spending a LOT of time on this game. I absolutely love it!

Did you remove Squall from Hillsdale?

I think this was mentioned before but Zephyr is required for Faluhd, then not required immediately after. But every scene between then and Mohadmal Junction when Reiner tells him to take a break plays out as if Zephyr was the lead. I’d have Reiner as point and his sprite would change to Zephyr who isn’t even in the party.

Quick question: What is your motive behind naming the spells off of numbers versus the more recent renditions (-a, -aga, etc)? I always found the latter a lot less confusing/cluttered, and I'm guessing this is mere preference but just curious.

I'm up to Lenadia. I'd like to echo a few others and say the game has been cakewalk so far, but kudos to you for including the Moogle Charm and being able to disable random encounters whenever you want. Still, the bosses are really easy because it seems they act every 2-3 turns I get. Often times I pepper them with all kinds of attacks, they are able to get one attack in, then their next attack hits the entire group, then they die before getting another turn in. I have a feeling you meant for bosses like Rudra and Fenrir to be a lot tougher than they really were. That being said, I do remember having trouble with Shiva when I played the version a few years ago, so maybe this whole thing will remedy itself.

Loving the game though. It's also apparent that the map design and story get a lot better as you play on. Lindblum was slightly boring, Ivalice was better, and Lenadia already seems to be shaping up to be a much better arc.

EDIT: In Lenadia Castle, King Edward's sprite changes to Locke when speaking to him. It remains that way until you exit the room and come back at which point it turns back to his original sprite.

I have the latest version and I've been experiencing "slowdown" during battle. I have a 2.4 Ghz PC and whenever I enter battle, the zoom in effect and the ATB bar lag heavily. The actual battle animations run fine, it's just those two things. Not experiencing slowdown anywhere else...anyone else having this issue?

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

Playing through the early section once again (I played the last version up to Lenadia you released a few years ago). Love the game still...massive improvement over Blackmoon Prophecy 1, a game I didn't really care for. This improves everything.

I love the music but can't stand the Lindblum town theme. I just went ahead and replaced it with a more tolerable song.

Also, is there a way to switch which character you want to act when multiple ATB bars are full?

Around 35-36, 31 with Leena. The thing is, there's some uneven pacing going on because the last area with random battles was technically Mirage Temple which was like 4 hours ago. Sure you can fight in Alfard Manor, but I did my best to avoid the guards and the fights are limited. Then there are no battles in the snowy areas, and I haven't fought any new enemies from then on up to the Lilith boss. I took Leena along though and she is pretty weak. I guess I would grind but enemies seem to give crappy EXP and money. I'm always broke. Oh, and the Golem boss in Mirage Temple was too difficult to kill in 5 minutes as I mentioned earlier (although the Alfard Manor after that was nowhere near as hard). Am I just missing something vital here? Yes,
I have backtracked a bit and excavated, I've been doing optional quests, and as far as I can tell my equipment is fairly decent...I think.

What are the answers to the five questions for Lilith in Nivel? I'm getting my ass kicked royally in Nivel.

Okay, haven't had time to play as much but I just did the events in Urumun Village. Now I'm heading back to Lyia. I noticed you forgot to change the boss music back to the battle music after the Misha fight. I'm wiping easy mobs up in Westwood Creek to the boss theme. This is the latest version.

Also, are there supposed to be enemies in Frostglade Forest? Haven't encountered any.

EDIT: Back in Lyia and have a choice to go to Zensu or Nivel. Is it even possible to defeat the boss in Zensu at this point? He's wrecking my party.
