The Master of Souls
I'm sorry you got stuck :) Hopefully you've enjoyed the game up to this point.
As for the issues...
#1
In order to decode the spellbook (The page is written in latin) You will need the first two Keys from Damien and Ealliot. If you take them back there, you will decode the spellbook into English and be able to uncover where Neko is hidden.
#2
The Strigoi vampire is actually just a teaser for the future. You cannot defeat him now, but in a later Act in the game you will return and have a side quest involving defeating him and others.
#3
As for this issue, it is a puzzle. Very soon you will learn that Damien LOVES puzzles, his entire tower is filled with them. In order to disable the trap, you must take a number from each side of each statue (There are four in total), add them together, and insert it into the pole. It is a little tricky, but I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out. If not I'll be more than happy to help you even more.
Sorry for hiding all the answers, I didn't want to spoil things for people who hadn't yet played this far into the game. :)
I hope this helps!

Wow, really impressive! The panorama makes this map seem so mysterious, not sure how else to put it :).
Is the panorama a moving background, or does it just stay still like this?

Hmmm, what do you mean? Where does it say that, it shouldn't say what act it is anywhere but the title screen (At least I don't thinkit ever says it anywhere else) and the title screen should say Master of Souls - The Struggling.
XP Side Battle
As Marrend said, it is absolutely possible to implement scripts into XP, and he pretty much explained how all that works. As for the side battle script, I've found two for XP that really work well. One of them lags a lot and the other one doesn't. For the better of the two, the non-lagging script, I don't have the website where I got the script from, but I'm sure if you searched around for "Paradog's Side View Battle Script" you would find something. Best of luck :)
