FELIXFLYWHEEL'S PROFILE

Hi, I compose video game music, make battle animations, assemble tilesets. Lots of sprite ripping and more for RPG Maker 2003, using my 2 handy tools, FL studio, and Photoshop. I'm always learning new things, and getting better at what I do. I work hard to surpass my limits. I am a perfectionist.

If you're interested in seeing the things I do, you can watch my videos on youtube.

If you need resources, here's a link to my photobucket. It has lots of battle animations and such, just for yoo! Please give credit though, if you're going to use them.

Dim Screen In Battle?

author=calunio
It's not simple, it's too complicated for something so... unnecessary.
Well... I can do a lot of complicated things, it's just knowing where to start, I can never figure it out... but point me in the right direction (which was simple), and I can get it done. :> I'm a perfectionist, so I need my magic to look flawless, as well as everything else. xP Especially if it's on XP/VX with the 'add:blend' which most XP/VX magic looks way too white and bright because the background is not dark.

Dim Screen In Battle?

author=calunio
Well... I guess you could do that, having the skill activate a switch, and that switch call a battle event, and that event call the command "change battle background". Then you'd make a darker version of the same background.
Now how come I can never realize the simplest things? -____-;;

Dim Screen In Battle?

in RPG Maker 2003, is there a way to dim the screen when a spell is cast? I mean to dim the background, not the characters or enemies, just the background. ? You see in many RPGs that when they cast magic, the screen gets darker so the spells show up better. Can this be done?

Transparent Water without pictures or charsets.

This is great stuff, but you know what's even better? Animated tilesets! Just duplicate a tileset for however many frames you're gonna use and change each frame, and then use 'Change Map Tileset' event to make it cycle through the tilesets. Everything will animate at any speed you want, in any order, and as many frames as you want. xP

Willing to pay for help

Ohh! I have a friend who is looking for modern tilesets for 2k3 as well, and futuristic ones also. They sure are hard to come by. v_v; This is the only one I found so far.

Here's a screenshot of how it looks being used.

I know a good pixel artist named Ocean

You could try asking them for help. ^-^

Converting 2k/3 tiles & sprites to XP well?

Yeah, use paint. That's what I do. Say you're doing a map tile which is 16x16. You double that number so it's 32x32, and it would double the size of the tile so it can work on XP and VX :)

Any sprite, whatever it is, you always double its width and height to correctly increase its size without the pixels being distorted.

The main kitten there name is Ryan (yeah, that's his name also, just like the Bumble Bee) and there's Re-Re, and Pepper.
