Death Proclaimed II

It will be once somebody accepts the download link, but if it isn't accepted, I will probably need to get another uploading site.

What we did horribly on our first games.

Good Lord it was horrible. I DIDN'T USE ANY SWITCHES. :'(

It was extremely tedious.

[FULL GAME] Death Proclaimed 2

DeAtH pRoClAiMeD 2

~STORYLINE~
A young boy lived in a house in a secluded forest with his supposed aunt, Allison,
for ten years. His past from ten years ago is completely unknown to him, but he has lived
with his aunt peacefully for that ten years. One foggy night, Allison tells him
that she is going to shop for groceries in the nearby city.
However, she does not return for an entire week. Having enough of the loneliness
and confusion, the boy sets off to this city.
Hearing odd noises, the boy finds out that getting to the city would not be as easy as he
thought. His simple trek to the social city would plunge him into a horrific, unspeakable
evil that seems to carry only one true purpose - to remind him of his dark, forgotten past.

This game is a far-cry from Death Proclaimed in terms of combat. It will be far easier to play than the first game, and it also includes a whole new menu system made completely from custom graphics. The atmosphere of the game will be slightly different than that of the first game - it will have a more depressing, dark, and lonely kind of atmosphere that will create a tense anticipation for any horror that awaits your arrival.

The new link is a fix of all the bugs my beta tester, Gibmaker, has encountered while playing the game. I apologize to those who fell victim to these bugs.

The Longing Ribbon

WTTFFF. Are you uploading it from a URL or the file itself? If file, you should prob do URL. Take the site I recommended: zshare.net. GOOD LUCK.

The Longing Ribbon

Hey, Eric, ya might wanna put a download link up ya know? >:|_____)

2007 Misaos

I am completely new to this whole Misao thing. Do you have to consult somebody in order to get your game into the contest? I think it's already too late though.

Stickdude Goes to Hell

This got a nice little laugh out of me, and I like the original graphics, but I'm disappointed that this wasn't the kind of game I expected. Oh, whatever, if you want to be lazy, be lazy.

Thanks for the 3-minute waste of my time. :)

Death Proclaimed 2

Storyline:

Characters:

--Cory Reene--

The protagonist of the story. Cory lived with his aunt, Allison, for ten years. He had no memory of his
past ten years ago, but does not worry at all, and instead, peacefully lives with his aunt with
a care-free mind. One night, Allison goes shopping and doesn't return for an entire week. Cory decided
to search for his missing aunt in the social city.

--Valerie--

A very shy girl who Cory finds on his journey. She seems very mute, even though she talks ocassionally.
Because she was alone when Cory found her, he assumed she was abandoned and left to die in the
evil world Cory was thrown into. You must lead Valerie throughout your search and must protect her
from the abominations. You are able to hit her with your weapons, so do your best to be careful where
you swing. She will be needed beside you in certain situations such as lockpicking.

--Juan--

A young priest Cory finds on his trek. Juan is an ominous character who continuously speaks in riddles and
seems to stalk Cory in his journey. Although passive on the outside, Juan carries a dark secret witin that
appears to associate with Cory himself.

Controls and Notes:

-Controls
Go to Menu: Cancel Key (X, ESC, etc.)
Interact: Action Key (Z, Space Bar, etc.)
Switch places with Valerie (useful for avoiding monsters since they don't attack her): Action Key
Use Weapon: Shift

-Notes
=When using a healing item, the color balance (which indicates health conditions) may not change
into a healthier color, such as green or blue. This is not a bug. You just have to wait a little bit and
then it will change.
=Valerie does not have to be RIGHT by your side in order for her to teleport to another area with
you. No matter how far you are from her, you can tread on to different areas with her automatically
beside you.
=Sometimes she must be by your side in order to lockpick some doors.
=Valerie tends to dwadle alot and may be still when you are too far from her. In order to get her
back to following you, you have to go to her so that she is able to see you.
=CHECK EVERYWHERE FOR KEYS AND NOTES. Not doing this and recklessly treading ahead will
not get you anywhere and will require you to do alot of backtracking.

Since you're not really putting your heart and soul into this, you may not actually want much criticism. Here it is if want it, though.

The opening monologue is promising (Maybe drags a bit because of the crawling text,) but I liked it. Though I'm having a hard time buying Carol as a detective. She gets scared by reading articles and coincidentally something is going on in the hotel? She doesn't seem like much of an investigator yet.

While you mention that this is an apartment here, this isn't very clear ingame. Some context seems to be missing.

The fear system is interesting. It may just be a glorified health meter but it is at least atmospheric.

It's pretty cool that you aren't just pasting Silent Hill songs onto the game.

Bugs:

When Adrian is talking about going upstairs 'Driving me nuts' is cut off.

While playing the game, the game because completely unplayable for me because I got stuck with a 'Through' status. I assume because I used the stool to jump over the wall in one room. I can't use events properly because of this.

Also: I can't seem to find what I need to do next in the game. Adrian died and I can't access anything but empty rooms. There's a locker downstairs that looks like it was busted open, but I can't do anything with it.

Take back the first sentence.

This is only a try-out demo, and I'm letting everyone who plays this become somewhat like BETA testers so that I can find out errors that happen in the game.

And an apartment? Seriously? When did I say that...

Anyway, a new and improved DEMO is coming out soon, so just please don't assume that I am not putting my "heart and soul" when you don't see the complete game yet.
Oh, yeah, and I know why you cannot access any more doors. Either it's because you have a key but you haven't used it, or because it's the end of the demo. Did you notice that trying to go through the door in the Stairwell Room doesn't work? Yeah.
