No run button. XP does not have such a thing.
No states actually "replace" others, although only one active animation can be showing at a time and some have higher priority apparently. I've never checked how RMXP decides which one to show, possibly it's just the most recent one inflicted.

Can you send me your save file that's breaking? I've tried to make it so that all old saves are updated properly so they don't crash.

Thank you for this bug report. I've put up a patch that fixes it (and also updated the main download).
Your saves from the old version have disappeared? They should be in the root directory of your copy of the old version.

Well I'm glad you cleaned up your life. I don't know if that's a joek though, since making games is very technical and it seems unlikely that you can actually do it when under the influence.

One previous version I had accidentally uploaded without the setup to stop the game after chapter 1. But this version is gone. (Or it should be)

D: How did that get in there? That's the next chapter but it's not done yet so it should prompt you to save and then stop. Which version are you using?
Anyway, you're basically at the end of what's made for now. You'll be able to load your last save file into the next chapter when it's done.

Probably not for quite some time since this is taking a long time to make. :( I'm partway through the second mission of four for chapter 2. And lately I've been distracted making yet another prototype of Discrepancy.
