Final Fantasy IV - VX
This probably isn't a good investment of your time. It is purely a timesink, with little opportunity for creative expression or growth.

How would one even make a CBS in 2K3?!
Well, how do you think one can be created? Think about what information needs to be input into the system, how it's manipulated and recycled within the system, and where it's sent outwards. If you can't first visualize how it works on paper or in a flow chart or whatever, then first you should learn how to design a system. Once you can do that, figuring out how to achieve it using event functions should emerge from that thought process. If you want to know how to design a system, that's a bit complicated to explain in a game profile comment, but I would suggest starting much smaller than a battle system.
Starless Umbra
Just played this. Your tweaks to the battle system were neat and I liked the knife throwing minigame. I had fun--looking forward to more.

Jude:Dat tileswap effect. You've definitely captured that oldschool feel, but I felt the map needed some NPC's. Is the music supposed to cut off when you ride on the raft? Shoutouts for original graphics.
Hmm... Shouldn't be any music at all. I created a song for it but I didn't include it in the zip file. Actually, Tau might've added it back in since I stuck it in my locker. Should be able to prevent the music from changing if the skiff music is set to the same song.

author=tpasmallI think that's one of the RTP system sets. You'll need the RTP... Google might be able to help. Sometimes it's difficult to track down, though.
Just downloaded all the games, I can't play a few because I only have VX. Not looking forward to how much better these maps are than mine, haha.
Edit: I also get an error with Jude's game "the file system2c cannot be opened".

author=chanaI think it's probably a prerequisite that you play the maps if you're going to vote. Otherwise you're evaluating a screenshot. Some of them have sound effects and lighting thingies and fireworks.author=JudeObviously I'm missing something, also the maps don't open on Linux... I can just see them from here.
Dang. Some of these are really impressive with full on cutscenes and what not. I just made a map. oO
