It's a great game and all but I see no point in playing it in its current state, since it's just RIDDLED with bugs. E.g. my combos mysteriously stopped working (I can't chain O->O->O, only the first hit registers), the game crashed numerous times for no apparent reason, you can use finishers you don't have, etc., etc.
I'll wait for the final version, I can't be bothered to replay it again as the beginning is nothing more than button mashing. Now, it's cool that it is in the first stage, but I have no desire to do it again and then again for the final version.
Interesting... I have no idea why combos would stop working and you are the only one who has reported this issue so far. Combos are the one thing I feel should be rock solid. Which abilities are you using that are not comboing together? Also uncertain why you are having game crashes. There was only one reported crash in the second upload which was a simple fix on my end. Where are you experiencing game crashes? Also, you do not need a guide to use a finisher--this is even stated in the tutorial.

How'd you get out of the room without changing? There should be a loop in the event that makes you take a step back into the room. Blargh.
By walking out. Nothing really stopped me. I did trigger an event that makes me step back, but it was by opening/closing the menu. Nothing actually stopped me from walking out.
Cosplay Crisis
Kyrsty, there are some weird things going on. When I first got control of Kumo, I opened up the menu. When I closed it, Kumo said he can't leave until he gets dressed. So I left anyway, because real heroes don't need clothes. Anyway, I found myself in a seemingly endless stairwell where I found two piles of infinite Energy Drinks... I got to the top and then the stairs were broken so I had to walk all the way down. So I talked to the Squall guy and my clothes magically appeared, but then promptly disappeared later. Then I traveled west and talked to the train guy, who told me I needed $10 for tickets and then the game locked up. Not crashed, because the music still played and all the NPCs were still walking around, I just lost control of Kumo.

Yes. Nature beats Water, Water beats Fire, Fire beats Nature. I can't see any reason to include more.

Did you make all the graphics from scratch?
Negative. Art school is for the selfish. Pixels are just a hobby of mine I revisit from time to time.
