If you haven't already, you could ask the developers of Rise of the Third Power after they've finished the Unity conversion of their RPG Maker 2003 game. From what I've read, it's a tedious and buggy process that may not be worth your time if you don't want to "go commercial".

That's an accurate description of the situation at Multimediaxis. A few months ago, I grabbed everything that looked remotely interesting from their now shut down Mega database, and I was really underwhelmed. German developers simply don't grasp the essence of classic JRPGs. I can also confirm that the games found in said database can be downloaded from rmarchiv.tk (possibly minus some really obscure demo versions). While I'm all for preservation, you won't miss out on completed quality JRPGs if you just ignore these old German games. By the way, German is my native language, which makes it even harder for me to endure most of the RPG Maker games made in Germany.

Unsurprisingly, since only the player - thanks to the birds-eye view - can surmise that there might be a secret passage through the wall on the right side. It's even more likely the reason for this ancient something not having been found so far is "because plot". ;)

Are you testing if the romance options (still) work? Then let me say that's the most important thing. ;)
