Lakria Legends

Light Orbs are dropped by Sphinxes (bestiary entry no. 67). They can be encountered in Mirage Temple (probably the dungeon you're about to tackle).

Lakria Legends

I've finally completed this wonderful game. I was very impressed by the dungeon design. If there was a voting for the best classic JRPG dungeons of all time, Tower of Eden would be my number one, and Water Sanctuary, Mirage Temple and Void Chamber would at least make the top ten.

Here's a list of minor bugs and improvement suggestions, in no particular order. This isn't really much when it comes to an ambitious game of this scale:

One of the possible Mystery Box's contents is the "Revitalizing Elixir", but it should be "Revitalized Elixir". This mistake also occurs when receiving this item from treasure chests (e.g. in the Water Sanctuary).

I don't know if it's easily achievable, but it would be nice if the skill scrolls also featured the new name players have input for Ren.

After having played the Ancient Flute on one of these blue music circles, the player can't access the menu until he takes a step. The same probably applies to other tools as well.

Is Ren the only one who's supposed to profit from the Gaea statue blessings? At least in the Water Sanctuary, where I could easily check, only Ren got the bonus.

Bestiary: The Trapper (no. 53) can also be encountered in the Forgotten Chamber.

Bestiary: The Mummy (no. 63) can also be encountered in the Mirage Temple.

Bestiary: Tombkeep's (no. 65) location should be "Forgotten Chamber" instead of "Forbidden Chamber".

Bestiary: Fear (no. 87) also drops the Grove Relic.

Unicorn (no. 94): Maybe the Enchanted Bag shouldn't be referred to as loot, since it isn't a reward for killing the monster, which is technically possible by using instant death skills (especially Night's Creeping Death/Impending Doom), although this method doesn't yield any experience/gold and prevents the Unicorn from transforming into a Midnight (no. 95). I don't know how many Unicorn encounters I wasted killing them with Night's Creeping Death/Impending Doom instead of simply waiting/defending.

Queen Orla (no. 97) also drops the Solais.

It seems Xelor's (no. 138) bestiary entry still isn't unlocked upon its defeat, even though this bug is supposed to be fixed in the 2.0 version.

Lyia, small map that contains three statues (western part): It's possible to access the outer northern frame via the outer edges of the map. Players could think they got stuck, even when they didn't.

Mithros pub: The Mithros Citizen in the lower right corner still says he had ordered the Steamed Shish Kabob even when he already received his meal (before reporting to the chef and even after having reported to the chef during this side quest).

When entering Mithros Castle, maybe this should appear as "location logo" instead of "Mithros City", though it isn't technically wrong since Mithros Castle is located in Mithros City.

I think it shouldn't be possible to take the Gojiri Gumbo leftovers out of the pot in Witch Doctor Kali's "house" before the party has received the two Gojiri Gumbo portions from Kali.

Underwater passage: Malo gets stuck nearly everywhere, but it doesn't really matter since he teleports to the party's side upon screen transition. The same applies later to the penguin (Urumun vicinity).

Underwater passage: The whale shadows often get stuck at the screens' edges and need 10 to 20 seconds to disappear.

Staying at the Kappo settlement spa is actually for free (the fee - 50 Gold - isn't subtracted).

Ship, journey to Ishen during night: Where's Big Bob?

While browsing the bestiary in the desert, the sandstorms are still visible. The same applies to rain anywhere else.

The Mayor in Aramos Town could use updated dialogue. He still talks about the empty harbor at Mithros when the party - after having reached Ishen until the end of the game - talks to him.

I think it's funny how no one seems to know where the Mirage Temple is located - despite the sign one map south of it.

After its defeat, Sebek is called Sekt in its last dialogue panel.

The Third-Eye Charm's description is too vague. Does it prevent enemies from surprise-attacking the party (if the party can be ambushed at all)? Does it increase evasion?

Leon's "Combustion" upgrade "Hellfire" doesn't sound promising if it really loses the (burn) effect completely.

I really don't know what Peace's skill "Meditation" is supposed to do when he's equipped with the Drought Relic.

It's possible that the amount of Bandage Wraps the party possesses is always displayed as 0 when browsing item shops' selections.

Alfard: It shouldn't be possible to confront Kirito without having triggered the meeting in the pub. Otherwise, the sequence of story events might be out of order.

Alfard Manor: I think it would be a good idea to add another save point in Doctor Levecus' room, because it's beyond aggravating to "screw up" the guard mini game after such a long cutscene. On the other hand: This isn't really necessary as long as the left guard in the room right of the entrance hall is bugged and the player knows about this (he always gets stuck on the upper edge of the screen after a while).

It probably shouldn't be possible to enter Olly's Joint without having been told the password by Kirito. As matters stand now, the player can buy the password and reload a previous save to save 1000 Gold. Perhaps it's even possible to gain access to Olly's Joint this way during the first visit in Alfard - provided the player somehow knows the password. A possible solution would be that the password question can only be triggered after having been told the password (otherwise the player just gets a "no entry message"). The same applies to the William side quest in Nivel, where the player doesn't have to buy and use the memory item in order to complete the side quest.

I think it's possible to "cheat" when using the slot machine. The trick is to hit the wanted symbol on the left side as soon as possible (on the first spin). Then the player just has to press enter two times in quick succession when he's sure he would hit the wanted symbol in the center (at least it works when aiming for the bells). Because of this timing, the player should also hit the same symbol on the right side. With a bit of practice this can be pulled off many times in a row. How I wish it were this easy in real life...

Some monster drops like Shark Tooth or Eel Scale aren't used for crafting as intended, are they?

The Wandering Memory that is used for the side quest concerning the NPC woman in Nivel should be removed from the inventory upon the side quest's completion.

Void Chamber: When the player transitions into another map while being in Night's bat form, he can't sprint anymore.

Void Chamber: It isn't possible to use the Party Jewel here (probably because Night has to be an active party member), though the player can use the Party Jewel outside of the Void Chamber, but then he isn't able to select Night. It could be possible the player gets permanently stuck by forming a party without Night outside the Void Chamber, provided there's no way to get him back or activate his field skills.

Void Chamber: Even though I achieved S Rank, I had one unused Dark Key left.

Lyia: After returning from Nivel, several NPCs still utter their "danger messages".

In case the player completes Nivel/Void Chamber before acquiring the Fenrion summon, it would be nice if Night was part of the cutscene that plays before the fight against Fenrion. To make matters worse, Night gets stuck (doesn't move) during the cutscene that plays before the fight against Efreet.

When visiting Paradise Island while being in the Hijiro Mountain area, Paradise Island suffers from the same eruptions as Hijiro Mountain. Why are there still eruptions anyway after the party has completed the dungeon?

It shouldn't be possible to talk with Crystalla about the mysterious energy in Ishen after the party has completed said side quest (or at least the dialogue should be updated). The same applies to the Tower of Eden topic when the party has already reached/completed this dungeon.

The fruit growing side quest is (still) bugged. I planted the Special Seed before leaving Mithros for the first time per ship (which should be as early as possible). The fruit won't be available, though, not even before entering the final dungeon.

Vicious plant on the way to Ogre's Den: The game lets me use the Frost Medallion on the plant's right side, but not on the left side. Nothing happens anyway.

It seems that using Power Serenade (Marian's special skill) doesn't consume MP.

If the player has less than 3000 Gold, he can still purchase the Holy Book page from the Ogron NPC, leaving him with 0 Gold.

The Ogron weapon crafter says to go deeper into the caves to find monsters that drop the needed materials, but these monsters/materials can only be found in the fields (forest).

When using Peace's skill Sand Shield, I always get a "miss" message.

The party (temporarily?) loses its ability to sprint by entering and leaving Flavum's cave (Gaea's Crown) without beating him.

The party loses its ability to sprint after having defeated the doppelgangers (Tower of Eden), but it can be regained by climbing a ladder.

If I'm not mistaken, the Sunlight Dress (Tower of Eden) - when found in the treasure chest - is referred to as accessory instead of armor.

Does Serene's Pure Rain skill really have an additional healing effect?

I don't know if it's intended. Situation: Leon attacks (after Ren) with his Smolguun weapon and commands for the other two party members have already been issued. While the Smolguun animation plays out and all other party members and enemies are frozen, Ren's command bar advances normally, practically granting him a free turn.

25 Rainbow Seashells are correctly subtracted when trading them for a Fairy Ink (Fairy Island). If the player only holds 20 Rainbow Seashells, though, he can still trade them for a Fairy Ink (leaving him with 0 Rainbow Seashells). At least this doesn't seem to work with less than 20 Rainbow Seashells (15, 10, 5 or 0).

Are there really items that can be attached to the fishing lure as "fishing tip no. 6" claims?

The message that plays out when Night receives his Novuz Summon Arte includes cut off text.

When returning from Nivel using the Rift Generator, achievements can't be viewed (temporarily) - probably because achievements can't be viewed in Nivel at all.

Airkal Laboratory: At least two of the scrap metal spots don't sparkle.

Is it possible that Leena's Breath of Life skill doesn't cure sleep (at least during the Oracle boss fight)?

It happened to me once that a Fairy Ink I had found in a Mystery Box was just a dummy (displayed in inventory, not useable for skill upgrades).

I suspect that the ability of Ren's Starshine Relic doesn't work.

Right before the beginning of the last boss battle, Ren was tiny. I don't know if I caused this by clicking on the menu's Essences section beforehand.

Party selection screen: When the player chooses a party member and then "yes", there's a short time window during which he can move the "cursor" to the side. As a consequence, the selected party member won't be added to the active party.

Thanks for this fantastic game. I will always cherish the time I've spent with it.

Lakria Legends

Don't worry, no grand map piece location is missable. Off the top of my head, Masoud's five yellow circles should be located at:

Westwood Creek, Hijiro Mountain, Ishen (desert), Deserted Island, Urumun (vicinity).

Hopefully, you can piece the grand map together now.

After having obtained the grand map, you can access Fairy Island. Unicorns can be encountered there in the woods (rare encounter).
If you don't attack them, they flee and drop Enchanted Bags.
Enchanted bag's contents are semi-random, but the Pegasus Armor (resists Light) is one of them. You can also find one copy within the Tower of Eden. This piece of equipment should prove very helpful against the boss Aedus, who is weak against Shadow (- 200%) and Nature (- 150%).

Lakria Legends

Where exactly does that happen? It would be helpful if you were more specific.

I haven't had any problems so far, but I think it's easy to confuse Marian's (Mystic Dance) orange circles with Masoud's (Excavate) yellow (rather brighter orange) circles. On the other hand, I've only encountered five of Masoud's circles so far (the first one in Westwood Creek) as part of a side quest, so this shouldn't evolve into a general problem. Apart from that, make sure you use the latest version.

Lakria Legends

There's a game-breaking bug in Sorrow's room in the Void Chamber, though the player once again has to challenge his luck intentionally to trigger this. When releasing the soulless demon in a location where it can't be released, the player receives an appropriate message. This is a good idea per se, which is unfortunately rendered useless, for after the player has received this message in a location where he really can't walk in his normal constitution, he is permanently stuck.

Edit: The player will also get permanently stuck (everywhere) if he uses the Spirit Scepter when flying around in Night's bat form.

Lakria Legends

Damn, I screwed up. Long story short: The game tempted me into wasting my Runic Ores. Now I can't craft Al' Setet and can't recruit Masoud (for the time being?). I still might have an earlier save file, but I would lose way too much progress at this point, even though I'm just about to start the main quest in Alfard. So I would like to know: Can I find more Runic Ores later? And until then, will I miss anything (important) permanently without having recruited Masoud?

Lakria Legends

Fortunately, I saved this time beforehand. Most of the nail traps seem to be potential gamebreakers. The player is always tossed to the opposite side of the one he faces, and if there's a solid tile at the end of the nail trap section, he will get stuck. See for example Mirage Temple in the room north of the entrance hall where there are three nail traps in close succession. Being hit here while facing sideways means it's time to reload. Sure, the player is only supposed to go up and down here; he must really intend to trigger this bug in order to do so. Nevertheless, it can still happen by accident. Thus, let me warn not only the fakirs among us: Avoid these nail traps.

Lakria Legends

It's great to see how well you respond to our feedback. We can only contribute so little when it comes to making a fantastic game slightly more fantastic.

The bug I mentioned in my last post also occurs when facing south. It doesn't matter if the party faces north or south, they get slammed into the wall. Fortunately, this should be an easy fix.

Concerning the save points: I agree with Liberty, but it doesn't really bother me. What I deem odd, though, is that violet save crystal menus - in contrast to blue save crystal menus - can't be exited using Esc. Violet is inferior to blue in every way. :D

Lakria Legends

I found a game-breaking bug (it seems this time for real). Forgotten Chamber on the map that contains the Mimic: If the player gets hit by one of the nail traps while facing north, he will get permanently stuck (I haven't completed this dungeon yet, so it's possible there are other nail traps that could the player get stuck). Since I couldn't resist to play around with these nail traps, I think I received my appropriate punishment. :D

Lakria Legends

Thanks. Between there (possibly) being a bug and me just being unlucky, the latter one is, all in all, probably the better scenario. :)

Now that I know the exact percentage, I can finally reason with myself and move on without killing the entire Merman race.

Edit: Actually, while roaming the bottom of the sea for one last time with a completely different objective in mind, I finally got the drop, so at least it works even now.
