LIBERTY'S PROFILE

I enjoy playing and creating games (mostly RPGs) and have a love of story and characterisation above graphics. I've been into RM* since '96 and have used all makers - started on the PSX makers, found and used a patched version of the SNES RM, then moved to RM95. When I found RM2K I finally decided to join some forums and I've been a part of the community ever since.

In this topic I briefly comment on every video game I've ever played.

I loved Okami. So pretty!
I borrowed it from a friend that had it and managed to finish it with everything. <3
My friend offered to give it to me FOR FREE and I (idiot that I am at times) said 'Nah. I'll get me own copy'.
<insert major facepalmage here>
He since leant it to another friend and has yet to get it back.

I'm an idiot aren't I?

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

That any good? I played the first and while it was pretty fun (think I beat it in half a week or so), it wasn't very memorable.

Oh, yeah, and what's the normal character to busty witch ratio?

Well, I've really only just started, but I find I'm enjoying it more than the original. Still pretty good voice acting and the battles are fun. So far I've only met one witch and she isn't exactly bust-erina, if you know what I mean, but I'm sure there'll be a lot more. Started with four characters (3 male, 1 female) + witchy-poo.

What games did you grow up on?

Grew up on:
Alex the Kidd
Wonder Boy
Breath of Fire II
Rainbow Islands
Secret of Mana/Evermore

Mostly Sega/SNES games.

Chrono Trigger DS and Luminous Arc 2.

In your opinion, which series fans are the worst?

How I wish I hadn't leant that book to my fifteen year old, male emo-esque, vampire-loving cousin.
"Meh, it's a quick read." I thought
"It'll keep him out of the way for a few hours." I thought.

I didn't think. ;.;

What have I done?

In my defence this was way before all the hype began. And yes, I bought the damned book for myself. Read it. Threw it in the 'Meh Pile'.

Quite a few questions (Rm2k3)

Question 3: Over the course of the game, I'm going to allow access to advanced jobs, but I don't want it to be an easy process. I'll give some background information first: I am creating a Dragon Warrior game. There are about 8 starting classes to pick from, and you hire them from Rudida's Tavern (same fashion as Dragon Warrior 3). As you progress, you'll find Dharma Temple. You ideally will need to have mastered your previous job (obtaining max level) and find a key item I'm going to make you find in the game (I know how to do this part). But I am wondering, is the obtaining max level prerequisite possible? Thanks!

In the event that checks that you have both item and level required to change jobs have a conditional branch that checks that the hero is at least on level !!. It basically checks to make sure that the level is at or higher than a chosen number. Then you can use the Change Class command (page four).

So:

Branch: If **** Level at least 10

Else

End

@Tau: Thanks! I try to make the RTP look as good as I can ^.^ I'll make sure to let you know when I do release it. <I'm glad you like the little doors. ^.^>

@harmonic: Thank you. I actually got inspired by Kentona's Hero's Realm graphic wise which led me to create RealmS in the first place. And technically most of the sprites are DQ/W edits and recolours. ^.^

Kudos Kentona!

@AZN: ^.^ Thank you. A little effort really does go a long way, neh?

Ciel, dear, you're shattering my dreams here. ;.;

Ah well, it couldn't be worse than four, right? Right?

Yeah, the mapping isn't that great in the first but it's more a story/political/character driven game (though I love the sprite poses in 2 ^.^) and the music is tops.

I loved Alundra a lot but lost the disk many years ago, unfortunately. Managed to finish it after a lot of play time then turned to Alundra II in hope of another great game and was severely disappointed.

Selva - the first city in RealmS.
I had to redo the damn thing from scratch because of an unfixable map tree break (yeah I tried the fix but I must have done something to stuff it up even more.) But that's okay because I had a backup missing only Selva and a cave. Everything else was a-okay!

It needs more NPCs but thought I'd check for any suggestions.
