Isn't that statue a bit too much of a direct copy of Guild Wars 2's Abaddon?

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Abaddon#/media/File:Statue_of_Abaddon_concept_art.jpg

Saying that as someone who used a title that copies the style of his favorite GW1 Guild Cape Logo.
(Which I guess I should change one of these days too, just because it's too similar)

Yeah, if you know a better way to display it, let me know.

There is also a big chart showing all types against all others, but I thought this mini chart would be a good way to give the player a quick overview of the effects of the two currently equiped spheres. (Especially since the defence is the combined effect of 2 spheres)

Gotta catch them all!

Kinda.
The standard party size is 8, exp is shared by all and I do plan for a lot of playable characters.

Most to be recruited in chapter 1: "Fellowship of Sophia"
Quote (guess who the original is from):
Lunaris: "We're putting the warband back together."
Shango: "We're on a mission from god."

It's a bit more pragmatic.

The greenhouse/barn was the last thing that got a makeover in the VXAce version, so I have pretty fresh memories of what I want to do in the same way in MV and what needs improvement.

The battle system on the other hand needs a bit more time to refine the design.

BattleSystemWIP.png

Side view and the enemy battlersprite was made by Thalzon, not me.

It's a semi realtime battle system and you need a full overview over the status of all hero and enemy characters at all time to play it efficiently. Thats why it looks like a hybrid.

Mp regenerate throughout the battle. (hp as well if you are under a regeneration skill effect)
Every character can have up to 8 skills, the activation of a skill takes time, so you can use other skills to interrupt.
The skill you are currently executing is marked as "A", skills you select while already casting go into a queue and are marked "B"-"H". Skills currently in recharge display the remaining recharge duration time.

I could go on, but I'd rather put up a longer video once the basics are done. (Which will take a while, right now only the camera movement and interface are done, the damage and skill effect calculation methods still need to be implemented and my recent focus is on getting the greenhouse up and running.)

Ah sorry, you missunderstood, its not a upgrade as in an old/new screen, its an upgrade you make ingame. (Screenshot description has been edited to make it more clear)
All rooms in the player characters' hideout now start out abandoned/storage only and can be upgraded to a later stage using resources earned in the town building system.

The same now applies for the other rooms too. (bar, library, bath, medic)

Edit: Errors at the upper corners have been fixed ingame.

Title_Latter_day_Saviours.png

Yeah keeps the wordplay without the possible confusion.

Actually changed it a while ago, but for some reason the system here saved the old version of the image and only displayed that one for the preview picture, so I uploaded it under a new name.

TitleNew2.png

Did change the title slightly from "saints" to "saviors", it keeps the wordplay, retains revelance to the story and probably won't lead to as much confusion.

TitleNew2.png

Actually,

it's kind of a reference to what “Gödel Escher Bach” did with its subtitle “An Eternal Golden Braid”, except that I thought I'd just 1-up Douglas Hofstadter by actually keeping the order of the first letters of the words the same in the title and the subtitle.

I needed a subtitle, because I decided to split the game. So now it's:
Ludus de Sophia – Latter day Saints
and
Ludus de Sophia – Large dark Space

The story is kind of a modern fairytale and a meta myth with eastern and western influences.
Heck, I even kinda start like the bible. (“In the beginning was the word” word = logos ; and the ingame villan first introduced is Sogol who's name is the ananym of Logos)
Then the game makes a dive into buddhist mythology by putting the main characters against 3 mercenary leaders representing Death, Sickness and old Age. (Tod der Unsterbliche, Sicko Plaguebearer and Methusela Bejaarde)

So yeah, “Modern Saints” as a description for the main characters sorta applies.

And last but not least, I actually like the Mormons.
Most of them are very nice and polite people, or at least those I met, which is pretty much only their 2 pair, run of the mill youngsters/Missionaries.
Plus their believes are absolutely hilarious, but they do partially fit the themes of my game, or at least those that coincide with trans-humanism. (Not that other religions aren't funny, but those usually have the sands of time blending the eyes of the believers and have been established for centuries. I mean, the mormons even have a 19th century book, written in 16th century English, by a convicted fraudster, but they still believe in the damn thing. Which is a completely different topic because I think part of what made it so appealing was that it WAS written by someone with a good understanding of the human psyche. Fraudsters do know that, at least to successful ones.)

No, not mine, they have been made by pbjelly246.

(Have her added as artist on the game page, but I guess I should have added it into the description too.)
