As I said in some other places on discord already, I can't get over the writing and pudding's willingness to squeeze in a really good joke here and there, his charisma is always super infectious. I'm not in the game, and I'm not quite sure how peeps are going to react to our great circle of friends here, who don't know who these guys are - but pudding is really good at like, capturing everyone's essence here, to the point where their portrayals in this game, all feel very accurate and true to life, that they feel like genuine characters going on an adventure here; they are saying things that they would actually say in these situations, but everything is kept very brief and to the point, in a way you would see from a skilled writer - it's really well done! it's why i'm smiling so much after playing this. :)

There is absolutely no reason why an rpgmaker community game needs to be this good and yet it is. The amount of work pudding put into the skill tree, the battle system, the dialogue, made this hard to put down - it made me stay up till 3AM trying to finish it , (I think Ocean stayed up till like 6AM?) what made it so difficult to put down was that, not only was the skill tree pudding made, like super addictive, but the other half of this was, just plowing through the game, just to see what other funny thing he's gonna make these guys say next. I loved it.

The characters are also really well defined, distinct party members too, each with their own set of unique abilities, that feel like an extension of their personalities - this is definitely a birthday card to Ocean, but this also feels like a love letter of appreciation to all the friends that have helped pudding create these games along the way - like he really understands his friends here, so he's crafted these characters that really reflect their personalities, it's so goddamn cool!!

This is a very simple and very breezy game to play through. Pudding has already won the misaos two years in a row - I'm mentioning this, because, it's not a perfect game, but there's just some really great, unexpected, design choices here, a great talent for writing and design that's forming here, that it makes me eagerly curious to see what other type of games he'd be capable of down the road.

Throughout the years, I've usually only played like, fan games or original stuff like Grimm's Hollow, Dead Again, Beetle Ninja for rpgmaker.
I've very rarely played rpgmaker community games. This game, is a very personal rpgmaker game.
But it's so unexpectedly well done, even if you're not familiar with pudding or oshun, I feel like there's a lot to enjoy here and is definitely worth a look.

I don't think we'll seen a more divisive trailer of 2023, than this one.



Alot of interesting takes in the comments, some people are saying it's because it's not a 3D prince of persia,
others are saying it's the choice of music.

I think the first half is kind of garbo - 2.5D feels kind of restrictive, in this trailer,
however, second half of this trailer (which I timestamped here for the thread) is pretty great.
It feels like everything super metroid wanted to do and left us off with.

+2 for False Skies.

The Collector is a strong contender for the 2023 misaos.
A definite highlight for event event and best event game catergory.
