Video Game Critic Wager 2023
I was so angry I had to drop WarHammer 
Decided to go with last minute Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and ended up in the negative again.
GG for 2023 Unless there's a last minute shakeup.
I wanted to do a funny semi-finals vid to capitalize on this, but I don't have the time this year.
Hogwarts Legacy and Lies of P heavily trounced me for the beginning part of year. But I think it was secret summer mid-year new game franchise additions Jusant and Cocoon that got me the lead. Also being 3rd in a group of 5 might've help have the best opportunity at adding stuff to the roster in a year of good games.
2023 was a great year for games, but this is far from a regular year too.

I've been holding off on it cuz I wasn't quite how peeps would react to it.
But it's the funniest thing I've seen this year. I've watched it about 50 times already.
It reminds me of time when Newgrounds use to have video dubs on their site.
So fucking funny.

I like these two the best, the first one especially,
but you'll have test to see what they look like on various backgrounds to be sure.
the first one stands out the most.
if there's more than one coin, you might have to have them start on different frames.
but yeah, it's the best looking one and the most versatile.
you can throw this anywhere in the game and it'll look good, snow, fire cave, dark castle.

Does it taste like the space flavor at all? Kinda feels like canadas just a guinea pig testing ground due to the low population and other factors. I do love the doritos ketchup chips though
I haven't tried the space flavored one yet, so I wouldn't know, but I'd say maybe a little?
like, depending on how much you associate grape gatorade with space flavor, absolutely.
It's like. grape gatorade, lime, coconut, and another type of berry in there, like raspberry or something, and then cola, then just a shit ton of caffeine and sugar that makes it so bitter that feels like a thousand souls screaming out in agony all at once - No, I'm kidding, but it is really bitter! I don't know whether it was the ice or where I had the straw, but it seemed like it got worse depending where it hits your tongue.
But it does taste like, it's trying to imitate a bunch of stuff here - like, it doesn't focus on one type of flavor, and the flavor that it does focus on, isn't very good? But you'll recognize it. I'm strongly associating it with monster energy drink, cause it tasted a lot like that when I first tried it, except this has more fruit flavors in it?
I think this is just a trendy limited time thing. Like, ideally, it would be cool if AI had advanced enough, to the point where we could actually have like sushi or new york style pizza on a Star Trek holodeck thing, but this is like centuries away from that.
I think this is more like, a marketing team and chefs got together and decided to try and make a coke flavor, inspired by AI generated art. I say this, because we did something similar, at the cooking school I went to, for a food exhibition that was being held at the ROM one summer, where we had to come up with a museum inspired flavored dessert. Peeps love this fun food inspired stuff.
[RM2K3] Blitz Mechanic? Channel Time on Magic?
once 2024 rolls around, i wanna take another stab at this. the hardest part right now is just redoing the animations? cause default rpgmaker2003 only has 25 slots for battle animation sprites and unless they're sprites that remain stationnary there's a lot of ghosting, as you see when sabin jumps towards the monster in the gif above.
I'll try and fix that, and if I like it, I'll continue with it. But ya I'll dig up the old templates. One was from gamingw back in 2007, and the other was from Neok, I think.
EDIT: just keep in mind, don't expect miracles with this; I'm just a dumb newgrounds flash animator from the 2000s, trying to see if this works. SideWinder is doing most of the great legwork with this.
