Hello again!

Now here is a game, and person, I haven't seen in a while.

Cozy Places

Well, I might be able to put a little something together for this.

Let's work on your game descriptions!

I'm pretty sure you mean "sewers" instead of "suers", "inside" instead of "insite", and "goblins" instead of "gublins". Though, it being "gublins" instead might be part of the game-world than a legit misspelling, but, I thought I should mention it regardless.

There's also a few places where the sentence structure is out of whack. I detected instances of missing periods, and the line breaks serve no purpose that I can see. I'm not saying you shouldn't have them, but, the places where they are make no sense.

The touch-up I might recommend would look something like...

Valker is a hybrid of half-dragon and half-human, who lives in the lands of Foran. Populated with other hybrids, like him, it is something of a land of wonder. One day, he is called upon by the king of Everwill to clean up it's sewers of a goblin infestation. After defeating the leader of that band, he's sent to the town of Esper. From there, his destiny awaits.

...this. Though, that's only 364 characters, and a description needs at least 500. There's a few ways to make up the difference. You know the project best, but, if there's cool/interesting things about the game, or cool/interesting things that players can do, explaining what those are might help make up that difference.

*Edit: I'm not usually fond of feature lists, but, that could be a possibility, if they are interesting enough features.

How to make event able to pass through the player but still affect the player when the event touches them?

The underlying answer probably lies in setting the "Through" flag, and having either an "On Event Touch" or "On Player Touch" trigger for the events in question. I think "On Player Touch" refers to the player attempts to move into the postion of the event, whereas "On Event Touch" is when the event attempts to move into the player's position?

Sad news

Ouch. By all means, take as much time as you need.

2023 Gaming Diary

Castlevania - Curse of Darkness - Started

I did a three-ish hour stream of this on Discord, and having what additional commentary that was made during it made it a bit more fun. The conversation was in the text chat, and I didn't mind pausing every so often to insert my own quips.

Next streaming session (which might be this again) might be Sunday, but, is more likely to be on Tuesday. Specific times will be mentioned on Discord, as that platform has a relative time-stamp option.

What is anti-claiming paint?

Basically, what is presented to the user as the site's [404: Page Not Found] error page when attempting to access a hidden, or deleted page. I call it that because of the image shown on such pages.

*Edit: For what it is worth, at the time of that post, Zero Gears Fighters was probably hidden from public view, but, seems to be accessible now. Not so much for Feral Solidarity!

[Review Request]

The opening post of this thread hasn't been updated since... Darigaaz, November of 2020? Welp.

*Edit: It might take some time to figure out where, exactly, the OP left off, and what games have been added, and/or reviewed, since then. Would it actually be helpful to update the OP, or... be lazy devs/mods, and just leave it as-is?

[RM2K3] [RM2K] A Tales of Worlds New Menu Idea, Need Help.

Maybe I don't know what's possible in vanilla 2K3, but, the arrangement of the menu items in your screencap are in a triangle, rather than a line. That's not an arrangement that's possible within the confines of a Show Choice in 2K3. You can set up an arrangement like that with Show Picture, and maybe have some On Hero Touch triggers when the "cursor" tries to move, then do an appropriate Move Route, based on the direction of the movement?

I've not played the game in question, so, I dunno how that game handled the "System" option to begin with, but, if the options are limited between three or four windowskins, then, that could still be workable. Probably with a Conditional Branch, associating each window style with a number, and using a game-variable to keep track of that.

A ring menu implementation was a thing I did in Ace (among other things), and even used proper trigonometry functions to do it. With 2K3, well, I think it might be possible through the Maniacs Patch, or whatever it's called? I'm not familiar with it, beyond it's existence, so, I cannot help more.
