MILENNIN'S PROFILE

I create games because I enjoy gaming, telling stories, writing dialogue and drawing. Making a game is all of those things combined into one. However, my greatest passion with game making is designing battle systems that require thought and resource management within battle itself. I'm always looking into improving my skills, so if you've played one of my games, please do leave a piece of feedback on my page.

Windows 10

author=Dyhalto
On topic, does anybody know if there are any compatibility woes with the old version of 2003? Specifically, 1.08?

The only issue I have is it taking several seconds to switch to full-screen mode, whereas it used to be instant on older Windows versions.

The same goes for RM2K on my Windows 10.

Which RPG Maker to Choose? Please Help

1. All of the RPG Maker engines are pretty solid (well, except for RM2K3 and it's clunky combat system). The latest engine (MV) is a safe pick.
2. If you know one RPG Maker engine, you know them all. They mostly function the same, more or less.
3. If by visual quality, you mean original screen resolution, I believe MV has the highest. Of course, if you talk about general graphics, it wouldn't matter much which engine you pick, because they all support custom resources to be used.
4. RM2K and RM2K3 only support .midi I think, but the later engines support higher quality files to be used (such as .m4a in MV).

RTP Review

We already talked in PM, so I'll keep it short here and just thank you again for the review. :D By the way, I like how your pro-tips are actually helpful, rather than just stating the obvious (I mean, you'd think they're obvious, but I have seen plenty of people -not- read skill texts...)

[OFFER] Need a review for your short game or demo?

I recently had a fairly major update to my game, RTP. It's a very short game that you can complete within 30 minutes, though multiple playthroughs are encouraged, due to its random nature.

Battler won't jump back to party after attacking [RM2K3]

Yes, same happens with my RM2K3 game very frequently.

Improving Basic Attack and Guard Functionality

It really doesn't need to be anything complicated. Make using Attack restore a bit of MP, and using Guard to restore a bit of HP (plus reducing damage by ~50% for 1 turn) could basically be enough to make them viable options to use without making them the superior choice the majority of turns.

End of the world (chiptune battle theme)

I think it could do with a melody line going through it. At several points, it sounded like there could be the start for a main melody to kick off from them, but then it just kind of kept on going the same. As a base, it seems fine, though.

Risks, Rewards, RNG: Opinions Needed!

What kind of RPG does that??? Never heard of any that would do such a thing. o_O

Then go for something unique, rather than just copy/pasting what has already been done to death in other games.

Risks, Rewards, RNG: Opinions Needed!

Missing a skill is the worst thing possible, losing a turn, and losing the MP using it. Maybe if it did at least refund the MP if it misses, it might be okay...
