On a completely serious note however, the game does have a certain inescapable visual novelty to its combat system, especially considering just how well you incorporated Limit breaks, I mean holy cow was that impressive! And according a review you incorporate other thing like Yuna's summons? That my friend is quite a feat!
I also loved how unbelievably well you managed to create even more visual novelty with your choices of enemies. Am I wrong when I say that you took the minotaur sprite from the Battle toads arcade game, and a lot of the enemies that you fight in the town are are from other beat em ups, right?
You may not know to write dialogue for different characters all that well, but you certainly can entertain in a special way. I'm gonna quit this for now, but when I feel like taking a break between different games here, and can deal with unbelievably bad dialogue I can see myself picking this up again, and that's something I up until now had no real set option for, and I thank you for that Aten.

Note: This leads into something nicer. Please just bare with me.
I seem have encountered a very annoying glitch when I downloaded this.
You see, for some reason the actual dialogue in this game from all characters in the game seem to give all the characters the same bland, flat, interchangeable personalities, as if it was all written by a bad fanfic writer who didn't really think about how the characters would actually react to specific situations, and thought that if made Squall say "whatever" in the middle of sentences here and there, no one would truly care. Oh, and the first dungeon for some reason couldn't be more of a bland, forgettable forest with nothing remotely remarkable about it. Do you know if there's a way to get rid of these?

Actually, I'll just say this here instead:
I have to say that it's a game that I can't recommend enough. I admit I haven't seen my way through many rpgmaker2k titles, but I've done so with certain games that are considered community classics like A Blurred Line, and Legion Saga 1 and 2. While I absolutely loved all of them, and have been recommending them for a very long time on other boards whenever rpgmaker gets brought up, right now I feel Three The Hard Way is not only better than those games by far, but aslo better than most of my favorite games in general. In fact, I think the quality of the dialogue and characters happens to be pretty close to Planescape Torment itself.

Beat the game last night.
Can't thank everyone that helped me out with it enough, so thank you all several times over!
I cannot stress how insanely happy with the whole experience. I still went with Manteo since I had already completed before I saw the other suggestion, so that's that.I really loved going through his area, so it's all good.
I also can't thank you enough for suggesting Catawba. The huge plot twist that happened with her was BY far and large my favorite part of the entire beyond satisfying game, and I ended up describing the whole North and Cary subplot with a friend on AIM, and we both had completely different perspectives on Catawba, really adding to the experience.
Again everyone, thank you. My plan is to replay this game sometime in the distant future, and do the other 3 Kaibutsus. I was tempted to watch all of them, but there are just many other highly rated RPGMaker projects on my backlog that I wish to still play as well.

author=Clareain_Christopherauthor=MorteTormentWow, thanks buddy. Honestly, there's a lot I could improve on with my videos.
I've only watched your 5 part lp for Infected, but I got a lot out of it.
Like I said in your comment section, you are freaking phenomenal with editing, and do anything but waste time.
What's more, You are unbelievably observant and informative, constantly pointing things out that are worth pointing out. Your criticism is also very constructive, and you're anything but cruel when you give it out.
You have perfect diction, and can juggle your thoughts and words in an amazing way. This is a problem that a lot of extremely popular let's players have an issue with, and makes you a complete breath of fresh air!
You also seem to focus on very different and unique types of games that very few on youtube would cover. I don't know how big of a deal this us outside of this site, but as far as youtube goes, it's phenomenal!
In short, you represent everyone that a let's player should be.
Please, I'm begging you. Keep up the great work! There's not enough people like you in this world.
Anyway, I'm not stopping my let's plays. I just need to buy a new mic, which is taking a long time because I don't have the money just yet. Once I buy one, I'll get back into LPing games.
What I'm thinking about doing is starting a first impression video for many RM games. I'll play it for about 15 or 30 minutes, than I'll cut to certain parts I want to talk about, than end the FI at around 35/40 minutes.
I'll talk about this some more once I'm ready to make more videos :)
First of all, yeah, everyone regardless of talent could be better. I encourage you to never stop improving upon yourself, and I respect the fact that you're humble enough to realize this fact.
That said, my point was that you completely nail everything that I want out of an LP, and are easily the best LPer I've come across.
Hope you get a new mic soon, and I'll watch more of your other stuff in the future.
As for the First impression thing, not a bad idea, although I'd be tempted to play for about an hour, and cut the video down to about 20 minutes or so and show the most important parts, but like I said, you REALLY know how to edit better than any LPer I've ever seen, so yeah, I'm all for the idea of a first impressions video however you wish to do them.
Another idea you might wanna consider if it's going to be a while before you can get a new mic is maybe still post videos with text commentary added later?

You can't kill all 7 in one runthrough, no. Also, killing Teachey automatically ends the sequence regardless of how many you have killed beforehand, and events afterwards change considerably depending on whether you kill Teachey or not.
To get the most plot in one runthrough, I'd recommend killing 3 others and then ending with Teachey. You miss out on a lot of important information if you don't fight him. As for which three to fight, Catawba is probably the most interesting, so you should definitely go for her. Besides that, all the remaining five only have minor plot reveals, though I found Elko and Manteo the most interesting personally. If you can, use multiple saves and fight all of them; all their scenarios are worth playing through.
Ok, one more thing on this matter. Actually, a few things actually. Starting specifically with directions from the ship.
The plan I'm thinking is Elko first, which I get by sailing to Mayodan. That's fine. I plan to do this as soon as I finish this post.
Then I'll do Manteo, although I don't remember where the Pittsboro desert is. How do I get there via ship?
Then I'll go after Catawba, which I get by sailing to Durham Valley. I may do this second when I know how to get here already.
Finally, and most importantly, for Teachy I want to head to Cumberland Mountains. Unfortunately, I have no idea where the Cumberland Mountains are.
Oh, and finally, I'm pretty sure that I did the Cumberland side quest in act 1 that gives me access to Teachy, but on the off chance that I didn't actually do so, I guess I'll do Orrum instead. The foreseeable possible problem I see with this is that I did pay half to cross the checkpoint in act 3, and I wonder if I'll be able to cross again.
Anyways, these are questions about a somewhat obscure game that I've loved, even if it's highly rated. I completely understand if everyone who sees this is unable to answer them.
Thank you for your time everyone.

This seems like a promising game, but before I consider getting into it, can anyone give me an estimated numbers of hours that this game will require?

But isn't this a sample game that COMES WITH GAMEMAKER!? Did you just add a few levels and call it your own? Really!?
Considering how much denial was put into his other game on the site, I wouldn't put the plagiarism past him.
Demon Destiny 1~ The Warriors Of Legend
Aw man, the download doesn't work. It's a shame. I was looking forward to laughing the notoriously bad opening for this game, then deleting it off of my computer, and moving on.
Edit: Ok, turns out that I found somewhere where I could download this game and laugh at the opening. Here's the link.
http://www.demondestiny.com/
Anyways, now that I've seen it, I gotta say that the opening wasn't laughably bad. It was just completely predictable and boring.
The main character talks completely in expositions, and the way he communicates reminds me of a badly translated anime character. The constant typos don't exactly help either.
The battle system, while different from other games I've played on this site is a complete waste since the AI is beyond brain dead. Seriously, I'm talking X-Men: Destiny bad!
I'd be a little kinder to your game DD, but the fact that you're in so much denial about the complains that you've been given shows that you won't even begin to deserve kindness.
Let me end my thoughts with these words. I don't care if this your first creation. This site is not your Refrigerator door cover. Just because you are proud that you made a game doesn't mean that it's worth playing.
