Acetonic Mushrooms Season 1

Ok seriously....how is this funny? I watched the first episodes and...I don't think I've played any fan product that made me feel uncomfortably bored.

I mean really, I watched the first episode, and for the life of me, I couldn't see any humor at all, just non-stop clunky dialogue.

Sorry man, but with the exception to the soundtrack, this was beyond frustrating.

The Burning Grail

This is a great little game for so many reasons, but I'll just name a few.

The Battle System is a blast. Pure fun!

The story is pretty sweet. Especially loved the ending.

The music is great. Seriously, everything seemed to fit quite well for wherever you were in the game. I only wish that you had listed all of your sources.

The characters were great. There was quite a bit of gray matter when dealing with the main character, and how he changed his perspectives once his sister's plot twist was revealed early on.

Thank you eNSO, thank you very much!

Can't seem to start any RM2k or 2k3 titles. Please help.

Turns out all I had to do was restart the PC. I should have known. Thanks.

Can't seem to start any RM2k or 2k3 titles. Please help.

Ok, so it's like this.

I was playing Three The Hard Way, which is an RPGMaker 2000 title on this site. I'm about 12 or so hours into it. Anyways, all of a sudden I got a weird error message, which I think MIGHT have said something about a header. Anyways, I tried to open the game again, and now I get the following error message when I try to open up any RP2k and 2k3 Title.

DirectDraw Error
(DDERR_UNSUPPORTED)

Like I said, I haven't had any issue until now, and I've been playing Three The Hard Way for hours until now.

Anyone have ideas that will fix this?

Thank you for your time.

Miaka's Great Adventure

Wow...just wow...

Congrats iishenron. You have created the first game that I have played on this site which got me to ragequit, and it only took a few hours!

First of all, there's the fact that almost every spot fits on one screen. It's odd, but I'm ok with it, and I convinced myself that this pointless restriction added some nostalgic charm.

Then there's the fact that you're told to head to one point, but for no reason other than (from what I can tell) to pad out the games run time, you have to go to several other places first. This was annoying, but eh, I convinced myself that the exploration would be fun.

The final straw however (besides the fact that this game is written like a bad fanfic, the main character being unbelievably underpowered in every which way, and overall just how laughably bad the dialogue is.) would be the fact that the directions given in this game couldn't possibly be so lazily vague. Oh, I have to go to one of 4 or 5 unnamed forests, and hope to find one spot that now has something in it, and then I'll be able to continue on with the game? I'll pass.

There's a lot I can deal with in a game, but this one hits too many wrong buttons. I'm sorry, but this is not a good game at all for me.

TOTAL CHAOS

Just beat the game about 20 minutes or so ago.

I gotta say that while severqal of the dungeons, along with about 3 or so of the bosses in the game were utter curveball torture, but the insanely great dialogue(typos or no typos) given to some truly memorable characters in this game saw me through this truly compelling project of yours. I want to thank you for creating it, and reminding me why I decided to start playing rpgmaker titles again.

This is a true diamond in the rough, even if it's got some mud on it. It may feel like you're reading from the phonebook at times, but the fact that this project is still as good as it is regardless hints that you truly have a natural skill at crafting RPGMaker titles.

Thank you Yeaster for the joy you gave me from this project. I dobut I'll replay it again, but I'll always have the memories.

Oh wow, you've gotten really far!

On my blog, there are step-by-step directions on how to get to the first candle, from where you start. Copy-and-pasted here for your convenience! =D

From the entry point (assuming you haven't moved)

1) Take FIVE STEPS DOWN

2) Take SEVEN STEPS to the LEFT

3) Take TWO STEPS UP

4) Take EIGHT STEPS to the LEFT and you will arrive at the second section:

5) Now, take FORTY-SEVEN STEPS to the LEFT.

6) Take ONE STEP UP

7) Click ENTER and you'll arrive at a small room.

8) Next, take SIX STEPS UP and click ENTER and you'll have your first candle. If you click enter and nothing happens, and turn RIGHT ONCE and hit enter again.

Each candle lasts for about five minutes before going out. That said, this dungeon is short compared to the others, so you can easily breeze through the battles and rack up the candles, thus no longer having to worry about another "blackout." However, if you were to skip every random encounter in that dungeon, that WILL NOT hurt you at all when facing the boss. :)

I hope that helps.

Ok, two things.

1. How would someone possibly find that candle without someone telling them that?

2. Is the whole blackout thing something that is going to happen again in the game, or your other games? I really am put off by this factor.

Enjoy! =)

First of all, sorry about my rudeness. I assumed that since the game was so old that the developer wouldn't see my post. Thank you so much for the link, although I found an alternative to microsoft word (open office) and it's quite useful. I've only had to consult it twice so far too.

Second of all, I've actually gotten pretty far without it, but now even with it I'm stuck, and I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not. I'm at the underground Shrine near Dati, and well...I literally can see nothing but pitch black darkness. The guide doesn't really explain well how to get to a candle.

Is there a way to make the game temporarily brighter?

TOTAL CHAOS

Going from what I've read in the reviews, the guide is extremely helpful. Too bad you can't open it in notepad, wordpad, or even Adobe Acrorbat.

Shame, as I really wanted to see what the game was like personally. It's got too many good ideas, but if I can't read the walkthrough that the game, from what I've read requires, I'm not sure if I should or not.

Edit: Nevermind Found a walkthrough of the game online, yay!

Edit: Unfortunately, it's an archive, and it ends about an hour or 2 into the game. Shame.

Moby Housekeeper

I wonder if anyone will ever actually read what I posted. Oh well.
