Figured out a system for the order of what I will play. Looking for input.

Sorry, but what did you mean then?

And yeah, when I go through the 15 games that I plan to go into, I'll probably jump to more recent games.

Edit: Oh, and a couple things.

First of all, thanks for being nothing but nice people. I realize that yeah, this is a weird situation.

Second of all, we kinda got a bit off of the topic that I really wanted feedback on. I was looking for feedback on how I've planned the rule of three.

Well like I said, I only want to play completed games, and I'm not really interested in testing them perse, just going through and enjoying the project.

You guys bring up a big reason why I want to do this.

Yes, more recent games have certain features that much older game won't have, and to me that's all the more reason why I want to play games that were put on around the beginning of this sites lifetime, so I can still enjoy them.

Oh, and as for feedback, are you mainly referring to dealing with glitches and such?

That's a really hard to explain question. There are a lot of minor reasons, but basically I guess it comes to me feeling like I'm at the beginning of something huge(this site and unbelievably well designed way of letting you sort through titles that seem promising), and want to explore its roots, at least for now.

Ok, so it's like this.

I decided a while ago that for the moment I'm going to focus on games that were put on this site in its first year or so.

I already decided how I choose what RPGs to give at least a fair couple hours start, specifically based on skimming reviews of games that have at least a 2.5 rating or higher, to see if it sounded particularly interesting, but I wasn't sure how I'd decide the order in which I would go through them.

I came up with what I think is a good system, but that there's also something that could be improved upon it.

Anyways, the system is like this:

I'm going to only play 3 RPGs at a time. 1 RPG I'll mainly be playing for its writing, and 2 RPGs where I'm mainly playing for the gameplay, or 1 for the gameplay, and 1 with something specifically bizarre in a good way going for it.

So, how does the system sound? I welcome all suggestions.

Thank you for your time.

Oh, and in case you're curious about what projects I'm currently focusing on:

Writing: 2k: O N Y X: 20 Hour RPG, Combat seems unbalanced, but the dialogue is quite entertaining so far.

Gameplay: 2k3: Hero's Realm (15 hr?) FFV type game, Seemed insanely promising, and so far it has delivered where reviews said it would.

Bizarre: 2k3: Final Fantasy Dreams unknown hour(long?) Combo of several FF games. Horrid dialogue, but combat has some of the best visual novelty I've seen in a game.

Looking for help with RM2k3 title Final Fantasy Dreams

Hi there people, how's it going?

Started playing Final Fantasy Dreams a week or so ago, using it as my game to play in between other games. It's got a lot of flaws, but man does it have a great visual novelty to its battle system! It's been a great guilty pleasure so far!

Anyways, I'm kinda stuck in a rather embarrassingly early point in the game. I'll try to be as spoiler free as possible.

Basically, Yuna told Tidus to get a boat ready while she is packing, and for the life of me, I can't figure out where the boat is.

Is there anyone here that remembers where the boat was in your game?

Thank you for your time.

Why does the engine matter? A game is a game.

I already explained why it matters. As for the A game is a game, I don't go for that at all. A true work of art can be truly extraordinary.

BTW, this has gone on long enough. Most of you seem to think that I'm a troll, and won't even listen to me when I try to convince you otherwise.

Look, I'm sorry guys, please believe me. If I make any more topics discussing my opinion, I'll make it very clear that it's just my opinion. I wasn't looking for a flame war.

Again Jude, I apologize. I was not trying to start anything. I was mainly looking for confirmation that there were better games on the XP engine.

Topia Online, inspired by RPG Maker

I just have one question.

Why do you need 50 grand for this?
