2/20/17 Update!

Good on you! I have updated the review in response, detailing the changes, but also noting things like typos that are still in place, unfortunately.

Thanks for the review. One quirk of the game is nearly 20-40 of the NPCs are paid KS backers. And they wrote us a lot immersion breaking dialogue, but we tried to work them in as best we could.
That makes so much sense lol!

Well, Pillars of Eternity famously had the same problem, though I think Obsidian have steered clear of that when Kickstarting a sequel recently.

Shadows of Adam Review

Good review! I'll play it eventually - probably once I finally get tired of chasing down unreviewed games on here. Don't really have much else to contribute. Though, I do find it funny how the "professional" critics have so far been kinder to this game then Solitayre was.

Numina

Hey, congratulations on managing to get Greenlit! Just in time before Valve shuts the whole thing down pretty soon! I was considering playing and reviewing the demo to help spread the word about it, but it looks like you fared fine on your own!

Yeah, they're pretty good. Though, wait, what's that at the back of her head? Does she already have a bald patch at such a young age?

New lighting and shadow system.

Nice, and I like the sound you get from walking on the wooden bridge (though perhaps regular walking sounds could be added too.) As for shadows, I would suggest you check out a game on here called Cardiophobia. It's a horror game, sure, but I never saw anyone here do shadows as well as it did, and I think it might be quite inspirational.

August and the Abyss Review

Well, I was surprised so many games were left around unreviewed from a relatively recent event, so I decided to play and review pretty much all of them just to see how it would all go, and here we are!

And I certainly get the temptation to be harsh on the typical JRPG plot conveyor. I mean, I pretty much audibly groaned when I saw this game begin with crystals, too, after playing two such games recently (and probably about to review another one like it now). And I've only been around here for little more than a year, so I'm scared to imagine how many of those you must have seen over the years. Meta stuff can be done badly too, of course, but this certainly wasn't the case here!

Tumbling Apart

Sounds really great! Can you tell me long does it take to play through the demo?
