8-Bit Mega Man 7

Japanese people have taken Mega Man 7 and re-made it in 8-bit for the PC. Its pretty insane.

Rockman 7-FC is a project to port the gameplay of Rockman 7 from the 16-bit SNES style to the 8-bit NES-style gameplay. Tap the X key rapidly to shoot, hold the same button to charge up for a special attack, and press the Z key to jump. Hold the down cursor key and the jump button at the same time to slide.

Use the Q key to access your inventory and swap abilities, or press the R key to reset back to the introductory screen at any time. Abilities can be switched using the A and S keys as well. Players start out with Rush Coil, the robotic dog which can be called upon to launch you higher than your normal jumps.

The configuration file can be used to change window size. Press the print screen button on the keyboard to capture a screenshot at any time, which is then saved as a new bitmap file in the game folder automatically. This feature can be very useful when typing in your password to resume your progress. (source: auntie pixelante, FAQs, download zip version)

Messaging Problems

Hey, I don't think my sent messages are getting to their intended recipients. Could you guys take a look? Thanks.

Moving Away

Recently, I moved out on my own into a new house in Westmount, Virginia. This isn't the first time I'm living alone, but I don't have any friends or relatives up here, so its kinda scary!

Its a bit of a shaby place, and its off in the middle of nowhere. But at least its pretty quiet I guess, plus my folks paid for it, so I'm not complaining.

I'll have some photos of the place up once I get a camera (I'm almost certain that I packed one with me when I left, but considering its nowhere in my luggage, I guess not!).

Anyways, discuss your experiences leaving the crib!

:)

I'm Neok, and I posted here semi-regularly a while back before disappearing for a spell. I think I'll start posting regularly again.

The most important thing you must know about me is that I'm a terrible liar! (Sometimes)

An FFX thread for you schmucks

K, since there was interest in a FFX discussion thread, yet no action, I'll take the first step.

Note: I'm presuming that most of you have already played through FFX, so for those who haven't, this thread contains SPOILERS, unless someone wants to boycott that.

Now then I must say, the opening was pretty much the highlight of the entire game for me. At first, we've got Tidus living the grand life as an famous all-star Blitz Ball'er. He's got it all: fame, fortune, looks (debatable, I'm sure), everything. Well, next thing you know, everything turns upside-down, and Tidus ends up stranded in the middle of an abandoned and flooding ruins with just the clothes on his back (and a sword), having to seek out wilted plants to burn for warmth, with no evidence of his former home present, save himself.

Honestly, this first part was really spectacular. Seeing the incredible contrast between the techno city of Zanarkand, and the strange dystopian world that Tidus finds himself in, as well as the mystery of just what happened, this really pulled me in then and there. I seriously got chills when Tidus walks into the "campfire" room (with all the waterfalls coming down from the broken ceiling). I was really looking forward to seeing an incredible post-apocalyptic rpg reminiscent of FF7's Midgar.

And then, they dropped him off in Besaid, and the game turned back into a stale fantasy RPG. :'(

I hate it when that happens. FF7, and FF10 both. Squenix, please don't do this to FF13. Please.

Also, it took me 80 hours to beat the main game, and an extra 120 hours to find all the secrets. In the time it took me to find everything, I could've played the game again, and again, though only getting halfway the third time.

Anyways, discuss:

[FULL GAME] Wraith: The Second Chapter ~Sainth~

Hey, do you know what it means to be "normal"?

It means that you can accept the things that happen in your life for what they are, and that it in turn accepts you for what you are. You can wake up in the morning and wash your face, brush your teeth, and head out, knowing that your immediate future will most likely be mudane and ordinary.

And yet, it's not until you lose this notion, that you'd realize just what being "normal" is all about. Because once you stop being "normal", well.. you can try to undo things, but you can never truly go back.

I couldn't anyways..

The Story So Far..

Spoiler Alerts! Do not read if you have not played Wraith, or won't.

On June 9, 2005, Kana Aylwin, her best friend Lily Collins and others from the University of Turner attended a workshop at Wellington Manor in Australia. During the night, Kana discovered a wraith hidden away beneath the manor, which escapes its prison. It soon becomes up to her to save her friends and decipher the mysteries behind the wraith and the Wellington family.

In the end, Kana manages to exorcise the wraith. However, those who come into contact with a wraith will over time, become a wraith themselves. In order to receive treatment, Kana went with a group of representatives from the Agency, an organization created to prevent the revealment of the supernatural to the public eye. But, it soon became apparent that they were not from the Agency at all. Kana has not been found since..

Story

3 years after the events of Wraith, Lily Collins has returned to her hometown in England. One winter day, she meets "her" under the snowy tree.

...

Awakening in an unknown place, Lily must learn what happened and why..

Notes:
- This is the storyline sequel to my first game: Wraith. Check it out here: http://www.rpgmaker.net/games/379/
- This shouldn't take too long to play through. My beta testers averaged about 2 hours to fully complete the game.
- This is my third completed game :). The other two can be found here and here.
- Every action in the game can be accomplished by either Z, Up + Z, or Down + Z, in case you skip the tutorial.
- If you ever get stuck, remember to check the ceiling.
- If you're playing the game in the editor, don't use Shift to walk off movable boxes, or you'll screw up the code and glitches will happen.

:)
