I also voted Dragon Quest, being that is ostensibly a "classic" Nintendo game more than more of the rest, but does the world really need another sword fighter?

Each event, when stepped on will trigger that switch.
Make a separate event set to autorun that will only happen if that control switch is active. After the cutscene put a control switch at the end and make a new page for every player touch and autorun event and that switch at the end of the cutscene will make it so those won't happen again.

When player steps on it, set up a control switch, the switch will set to an autorun event, then the scene starts in the autorun event

So the enemies have to move to the event for the scene to start?
Set them to through so they can touch events.
OR
You want them to appear when the cutscene starts. Use a control switch so they appear when the cutscene atarts.
