Character sketches [Ralle & Lyra]
.
I meant that picture as a (failed) joke. I'd hope I can at least do a bit better than 2 black dots even if the positions were serious, heheh.

Shmeckie's Comic Art and Character Sketches!
Yeah, the inking's awesome. Great stuff, love the details! Especially the left part of the face. The pose and perspectives are very proper as well.

Thanks guys. :)
I'm struggling with the eyes a bit now. If I get too frustrated I'll just leave it like this:

author=Jakester link=topic=2997.msg68017#msg68017 date=1238031633Dude I played that for so long. I remember back then Brazilian guilds and American guilds were constantly at war on practically every other server.

Thanks. c': There probably won't be a demo for Lyra's Melody for a long long time. Chapter 11 of my main project actually more or less includes its (optional) prologue, as you get to go to its starting town where the LM's main characters are still kids.
Here's another WIP progress - really struggling with the cloth's shading, pretty much a hit-and-miss thing now:

Must you pay for RTP games?
I sort of doubt that no-edited-RTP thing. One because it doesn't make sense from either perspective, and two, on Mack's site, he allows certain resources for commercial use - and those resources contain many edits of RTP.

Finally got to work on it a bit again last night c: ;
First tried to colour the sketch as is, but the chest seemed to be a bit low and the left body-line too outward:
Fixed up the lineart a bit and just got to filling in the colours so far:
Shading's gonna suck. :<

The fear and the hunger are upon me...
One should be well aware that to keep adding on to the planning stage would result in a vapour-ware, needless to say.
However, if you are actually working through the actual project (as you should be at some point), and half-way through you find yourself loosing motivation due to new idea s and themes keeping you on the edge of your seat, I think it is a smart practice to always keep a look-out for ways to incorporate them into the current projects rather than starting anew, or keeping the distracting restlessness.
Now, if that requires a major overhaul of the current project as some seem to get the impression of, then that is not what I meant by incorporating; it is rather closer to a revamp. Hence, it isn't relevant.
When I say incorporate, I mean merely adding the ideas to the path of a project in a linear fashion if it allows. Sure, it could shift the path of the current project, but would you rather stop working on/wasting the effort spent on that project completely (as I'm sure many should have experienced by now), or renew that passion and at least focus fire to continue on what you've spent your life working on for the past few months?
It is merely the lesser of the two evils where it fits to be done.

As many have said already, the number of projects you should be working at the same time should always be expressed as a single digit in binary. I think incorporating the new ideas into the current project is a great way to get around the temptations; and don't be afraid to shift the current project's future paths if they deem fit.
