RPG Tsukuru 2003

Should be updated to 1.12 now.

RM2k3 was my life back in the day, basically lived in the program or idraw... even though I had photoshop I still liked that editor for some dub reason I can't remember.

One of the things that a lot of people wished for was a fully fledged scripting system, one was created unofficially and no I'm not speaking of DynRPG the language was similar to basic and was capable of some cool things however it was only in german and was only given to a few people. It did not alleviate any of RM2k/3s limitations however, you could do mode7 or even a proper abs "somethings that still strikes fear into many programmers with later releases as it's not an easy battle system to get working properly in RPG Maker XP, Ace, or even MV" Xas or Bliz ABS were a nice attempt.

I have fond memories of RM2k3, life was simple, no bills, who has a time machine? Granted I'd go back and learn Unity much sooner than I did "and still am"

IG Maker

IGM/AGM had strong support but support quickly faded, the issue with IG Maker was the fact there was no scripting, and you couldn't do much with it which sucked especially for $60 when it launched.

Even without scripting there was a plugin system that could have brought in some method of coding, but plugins never came and the hype train derailed fast.

AGM tried to compete against game maker and sadly failed miserably.

RPG Maker MV

MV is nice for traditional RPGs, but there's a few things I don't like.
It has audio issues, hopefully was fixed in 1.5.1 but not sure as MV isn't my main development tool.
It had optimization issues at first but that was taken care of in recent releases.
javascript, honestly bad decision and the exports all seem half assed, mobile is a joke, desktop got worse compatibility than Ace "because ace was designed for the desktop" in terms of audio compatibility.

Also, not the best tool for Zelda type games "unless you want to re-write the majority of the rpg core script be my guess" but the map editor is also a problem for those types of games as well...

But MVs official forums to have editor suggestions and I did suggest editor plugins, which work similarly to Unity where custom tools could be made so hopefully we would see something like this either in MV PRO/Ace or update in MV but that type of request might end up in the next RPG Maker release.

For traditional RPGs, MVs great, but not the greatest when you have real-time map based battle systems, also wish RM had polygon colliders "I was spoiled in Unity"

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

Sprites, an a Action Framework in Unity.

We Are! Talking about One Piece~

Who's looking forward to 10/1/17? Sanji Vs Luffy!
When it comes to One Piece I literally wait until an ark completes and binge watch it simply because well I'm quite busy when One Piece usually airs on Fuji Tv.

And the following 10/8 Son Goku get's another transformation, hopefully Jiren get's his long overdue ass whoopin!

What are your opinions on the recent Pewdiepie Contryversy?

Is the Pie a racist? No, you do have to remember he lives solely on Youtube unless that changed... So views matter, if it means pulling out the racist card for a joke so be it, I don't watch his channel tho.

I do find it funny that Disney doesn't want to be associated with them as they're racists themselves, walt Disney was a known racist. But, racism isn't great for the public image.

I do want to point out that Walt Disney grew up in a far different time and what was acceptable now get's you an ass whoopin.

Female protagonist games with excellent writing/story?

Heavenly Sword for the PS3 comes to mind, haven't played the game since maybe 2008 though "was awesome tho :)"

Final Fantasy VI Abridged

FF6 is too cool to be funny, should have attempted FF7, it of itself is an abridged version of Final Fantasy.

Does Anyone Remember GamingW? (Remembering Gamingw)

I remember it, Bart was an ass!(Don't get me started on Dark-Dominion!) And his Sun with shades avatar was annoyingly hilarious!

I had a lot of fun there but pretty much ended up visiting RRR far more in the end.
