SAILERIUS'S PROFILE
Something happened to me last night when I was driving home. I had a couple of miles to go. I looked up and saw a glowing orange object in the sky. It was moving irregularly. Suddenly, there was intense light all around. And when I came to, I was home.

Speaking of my computer dying, my computer died.
So I've been doing some art on my laptop, studying landscapes.
Here's a mountain.

[UE4] Unreal Engine 4 is now free

That's really cool! :DDDD
Though I'm guessing UE4 isn't ideal for making RPGs?
It's just as easy to make an RPG in it as any other engine. There's a strategy game template that's a good starting point.

And now for a different kind of map. Still learning to produce world maps. I'm trying a new approach where I start by building the natural features of the world before thinking about the human element, then exploring the landscape and pondering how it would be settled, where roads would be built, etc.

The monthly fee to use UE4 is now gone. It is completely free for noncommercial use now, and although you can also use it for commercial projects, you owe them 5% royalties on any amount you make over $3,000 quarterly. If you make less than that on your games, it's still free.
Now that it's completely free to try out, you should give it a shot! It's a lot of fun and pretty easy to learn. Its new Blueprints system lets you develop gameplay in a manner similar to RM's events, so even non-programmers can give it a shot!
Would there be any interest in a community event to try it out together and produce some simple games?

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
Ahh man, I spent so many hours playing RCT as a kid. I loved that game.
There hasn't been anything worth playing yet this year aside from Life Is Strange, which I blew through and enjoyed. Currently trying not to go mad while waiting for Type-0 HD to come out next month. I am strongly considering taking vacation time so that I can play more than just a few minutes of it per day.

My point is that when the rules are specifically written in an exclusionary way, it implies that protection is only afforded to specifically enumerated groups and that anyone not mentioned isn't deemed worthy of protection. Why not instead say that degrading gendered language isn't acceptable?

Is there any particular reason why the rules don't protect against degrading words targeted at people of nonbinary genders?
"When does this get good?"
There's a certain level of patience that's required for any experience to be fun or enjoyable, not just video games. That's not really true. Every game I've played in the last year has been immediately gripping within the first seconds of starting it. When I have my free selection of games that are enjoyable from the beginning, I have no incentive to waste time on something that starts off boring.
I don't have very much time to play video games anymore. Between working for 8 hours, commuting for 2 hours, cooking and cleaning, etc, not to mention developing games myself, I only have a few hours a week total I can spend playing games.
