SAILERIUS'S PROFILE
Something happened to me last night when I was driving home. I had a couple of miles to go. I looked up and saw a glowing orange object in the sky. It was moving irregularly. Suddenly, there was intense light all around. And when I came to, I was home.

Don’t Throw Away That 2k3 Just Yet
You could use that argument to support using RM95. The fact is, regardless of the reason why you started making games, if you finished a game and people can't or won't play it, it will be extremely discouraging and probably dissuade you from making another game after you spent all that effort and it was unappreciated. In that sense, it's more detrimental to burgeoning gamedevs to use 2k3 than it is helpful.
Don’t Throw Away That 2k3 Just Yet
author=Additauthor=SaileriusThe top priority should be to actually finish your game(s) first then worry about all that other stuff later.
I should think your top priority in making a game is for people to be able to play it.
But if you do that, then you just wasted your effort and have to start over in another engine if you want people to be able to play your game.
Don’t Throw Away That 2k3 Just Yet
Why would you want to make a game in an engine that doesn't run on an increasingly large number of new computers? I should think your top priority in making a game is for people to be able to play it.
Ars Harmonia Review
author=HasversYou raise a good point. It's too premature to have an RMN page up for the game, so I'll be removing until there's a newer version.
To put it another way, you cannot really release a demo and expect not to be judged on it. If you want to release another demo, with some other limitations but making a better showcase for the real game, please do so and I will amend my review accordingly.

I won't be pig-headed about it if you give me a good enough reason to drop the star rating, but for now I don't see one.Well, for one, the final version is going to have RPG battles. We were originally planning to have a prototype of the battle system ready for this release but we ran into some serious bugs that killed the time we would've spent on implementing it. As a result, all the supporting quests (such as finding items and weapons) were also cut.

Thanks for playing and for the review. I agree with most of your points, although it seems like you didn't find any of the puzzles.

That being said:
author=fdsThat would be because it is a technical demo. :) Most of the gameplay and polish had to be cut for the contest release version but we're in the process of implementing it for the next version. That being the case, I would appreciate it if you didn't give a star rating for an early beta, especially as there has already been a newer version released since you played it.
and feels like a technical demo much more than an actual game.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it. We worked ourselves nearly comatose trying to finish it in time.

I hope you enjoy! Version 1.1 is locked in now but whenever we get around to 1.2 (which adds Android support), I'll be able to work in more feedback.
Ars Harmonia submitted to the Windows Store and Windows Phone Store!
Thanks much, guys! It's been an incredibly demoralizing past two weeks porting the game to mobile, because it's all been work that no one will ever see or care about. But the game works now, and now we can finally rest after a few 15 hour days working on the port. >_<
