[FREE MUSIC] Scythuz's Mountain of Music

Awesome stuff, I really enjoy your music! Keep up with the great job, and thank you for sharing your work with us! :)

Starting back up..

Well, that goal of Oct.30th is not happening. I have however, made a lot of progress and have a clear-cut goal on what I'd like to do with this game and have made a lot of maps and custom systems and its moving right along. Unfortunate that I could not accomplish my original goal, but a definite 2013 release I am sure.
Just a little update, that is all.

Happy Halloween!

Fey

It definitely exceeded my expectations, I apologize if it came off otherwise. My only disapointment was with

Picaro and his lack of presence during the second half of the game. My only suggestion would be to expand/explain charlie's motives. I was just confused why such a wise thing would be so childish at the early point in the game, atleast without reason.

But I loved the game, for sure. It was fun all the way through, though I have to say I had a blast with the whole devlin section, and that final encounter was awe-inspiring.

Fey

Okay, so I played and beat it yesterday.

First off, I definitely enjoyed it. It was extremely fun and I found myself not wanting to stop playing it. The graphics and how the game plays are astonishing, and there are a few set-pieces and scenes that were just insane for an rpg2k3 game.

I was disapointed with the overall game length though.. It only took me around two and a half hours to beat, and by the end of the game it just felt kind of..incomplete, atleast story-wise.

Major spoilers (though trying to tell in a non-spoiling way):

I felt the antagonists needed more of a larger role. Like I really enjoyed the entire section of Devlins, and I was thinking the whole time like man these guys are gonna have a huge part in this story.. And.. they don't really go anywhere.
One of the things that kept my interest for this game was the character of Picaro. I was intrigued by what his/it's back story would be, his overall motives for helping Landon out and how exactly they met. I was extremely disapointed to find out that Picaro is oddly absent from the entire second-half of the game, and really hinders the players emotional attachment to him. I definitely think Picaro should have been constantly around as a guide and mentor, to connect the player moreso with that character. The other thing that was a bit put off by was the twist at the ending. I feel like it was an outstanding plot twist for sure, don't get me wrong, but I think it doesn't fit. I just think it doesn't fit how at the beginning the way the monkey acts does not make sense at all as to why it acts that way (behaving badly), and why it runs into the temple of all places.

DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE BEATEN FEY, SPOILERS (moreso):
Like it seems to be a complete change of character considering how at the beginning the monkey is mischievous and doing crazy things, and then by the end of the game completely is wise and noble. I feel like that deserves more information, maybe motives as to why the monkey was the way it was at the beginning. Like maybe it thought within the temple had an answer/solution/cure to it's situation, so it went inside to find it but did not find what it was looking for? I dunno, I just think it needs to be elaborated on to establish that connection.
That is my only main nitpick of the storyline.

Again, I loved the game. I feel like you have accomplished some amazing things with rpg maker, and you created a story and finished it beginning to end. I just feel a little empty for where the story was going and for the things I felt were left out or not elaborated on, and some elements that were completely dropped.

Fey

Congratulations on finishing it man, nice job! Fey has been my favorite rm2k3 game since I first played the demo and it has been a huge source of inspiration for working on my own rm2k3 game. I'm definitely excited to see that it is completed, I can't wait to see the changes between the demo and the completed game and finally just to play past that pirate ship, haha. Downloading now, Can't wait to play!

Looking for an (inner) tent chipset..

I apologize, I always forget to state which engine because I have always used rm2k3 so I stupidly never think to actually say that I use rm2k3. So looking for a 2k/2k3 chipset, and rips are fine as well. I just need a base even, to edit and make it fit.

Looking for an (inner) tent chipset..

I'm looking for a chipset that will work as the inner part of a tent. For an example, sort of like the tents in the rm2k3 game Fey (in the desert). Its for a small settlement/camp. I have looked around, but tend to only find the outer parts of the tent. Unfortunately I'm not a very good artist, so I usually just edit things. Anyway, If anyone can help me out with an inner tent chipset, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance, and thanks for anyone who took the time to read this topic.

RMN Music Pack

I could always request more general songs if anyone is still looking for ideas, and if no one minds that I am requesting so much? Or, I could atleast suggest some songs that have not been done for the contest yet, and I would like to see:

>A card game theme (Something like the Triple Triad or Tetra master themes)
>A fallen/gameover theme
>More hero/character themes (Some general types that could be used:)
-A strong willed, religious, hero. Kind of like a summoner theme or for a hero on a pilgrimage.
-A determined and defiant youth
-A laid-back, FF6 Setzer, or FF8 Irvine type character theme (Or like Gilder's theme from Skies of Arcadia)
-An antagonist theme (Anything like either Kuja's theme from FF9, Seymours theme from FFX, or Ramirez's theme from Skies of Arcadia)
>An uplifting love theme for general scenes (most love themes I find are very slow and sad, which are great for scenes that call for a sad moment, but thinking someothing more for general bonding between two love interests (or even two friends)

Just pitching out ideas! :)

Looking for a modern or futuristic train..

Okay, I really hate requesting resources and I'm not trying to be a lazy bum..but..I can't seem to find any good modern/futuristic trains. I have only found those steampunk trains made for VX-ace (which are extremely nice, just not very fitting for my game). Anyway, I'm looking for the outer graphic of the train, (though if there is a inner chipset or picture for it, that would be amazing as well!). If anyone has made a modern/futuristic train, or knows where to find one, I would really appreciate it! If not, I just figured it was worth a shot! Either way, thanks for reading. :)

What are you thinking about? (game development edition)

I'm heavily thinking about making a Walking Dead game based on the comics, as a side-project for fun.. I'm usually against attempting fan games or adaptions myself, but I'm so interested in trying to mimic their comic book look and to make a strategy/rpg game set around zombies and around that story, since I'm a huge fan of the comic series.

Though the idea I have for gameplay would play out like a RTS sorta, with the map/exploring/movement based around turn movement on a tile based map..kind of like a board game so to speak. And different characters offering different things for movement, attacking, healing or resource finding, depending on who is in your party and what they are good at (like Glenn is better at movement and finding resources, and Shane is better at fighting/dealing damage). I'm just unsure if I want to tackle such a thing on my own, or if I could even mimic that graphic style, or what I want to do. I just know as a fan of the series, I would really like to see a good strategy game (with light rpg elements) based around the comics.

Hmm.. So many ideas, and so indecisive.
