I definitely see a few differences in the plot. I can think of a lot of different places you could be going with it! I am looking forward to seeing how you mix things up besides just having different party members.
Thanks! I was going to include a few other scenes in the trailer, but they were far too spoilery. I'm going for a surprise factor here considering the key differences in the plot are probably going to shock a few people. I figured the first trailer would be a good way just to show off some of the gameplay and graphics.

Hiya! I just wanted to ask if the game will be available on GOG sometime? While I don't mind Steam of course, I do prefer if I can buy the same game from GOG. Once I get some money, whether it's on GOG or not, you can damn well bet I'll be buying this game. Just looks amazing.
Oh, and you may want to consider getting your game onto Green Man Gaming. They put up a ton of Steam games on their site.

That's a nice edit to Paladin!Cecil. Are Cecil's black hair canon to this take on FFIV?
Yeah the black hair is canon to this 'parallel dimension' take on FF IV. =) Thanks for the compliment! And editing that FF 6 HD bridge battleback to be more representative of Ordeals was a royal pain, but I do like how it came out.

It's kind of weird how the character sprites look so blurry yet the enemy sprites are crisp.
Hmmm...well they are the SD images that I did have to resize down so they might've blurred a bit. Doesn't appear that way in-game, but if I need make'em crisper I'm sure the testers will let me know when the time comes.

Oh, yeah I saw that. I guess you'd just have windowless blank space the rest of the time if the enemy window is hidden until you're picking a target if you shrank it.
Exactly. I did mess around with it a lot before, but I think I got it to the point where it's traditional enough, while offering a bit of 'newness' to the feel of it. At least, that's the hope.

A bit of a nitpick but have you considered shrinking the status window on the left? Or is that blank space used for status icons or something?
That blank space is filled in during enemy selection. Check out the other screenies and you'll see what I mean. It's my own riff off of the traditional look of FF games, where you see the enemy name on the left. In this one, you actually use that space to make your target selection.
