You see not a bird but an American lady who likes other ladies. Oscillates between shy as a mouse and babbling violently, seemingly at random.
I like badasses. I like babes. I like badass babes the best. Okay...actually I like doggoes the very best, but I aspire to make games about badass babes is my point.
I use music from bands and artists in the free games I make: the frustrated filmmaker in me is very enamored of scoring scenes with rock'n'roll soundtracks Scorcese or Tarantino style. In addition to being a time honored tradition in cinema, this has a history in AAA videoogames as well (for a really great use of it, see Bioshock: Infinite). If I was a millionaire, I'd totally license these songs so I could actually use them legally.

What are you thinking about? (game development edition)
If you were to make a game starring a dog...tell me about that game. (I keep seeing excellent, available resources of dogs in various styles my mind wanders to a robust use for them.)
Edite:
Also thinking about how much my gam mak stamina has declined since I was a younger. I used to marathon like six hours in front of the editor, easy. Now it's tough for me to manage much more than plinking away at a game for an hour before I'm looking for something else to do. Might be the depression but I think it's mostly getting old.

Owl's Nest
Hi, I'am a 2D Graphic Design Artist (Cartoon) for hire ($14/hour)
[UNITY] [GM] [RM2K] [RM2K3] [RMXP] [RMVX] [RMVX ACE] [RMMV] Nirwanda's cheap pixels! Busts, battlers, tilesets... oh my!
Nice art! Very impressive, shows proficiency in a good variety of styles. Your prices are very reasonable, too. I might be back to shop and not just window shop.
Can I ask how you chose the handle Nirwanda? There's only one Nirwanda I can think of, and it comes from a fairly obscure old SNES game.

[RMVX ACE] [RMVX] RTP Bust Variations
Not sure if this is the right forum to ask: if it is not, please excuse me.
I'm looking for variations or edits on the busts of the RTP characters in Ace and VX, that sort of thing. Emotes, alternative outfits, graphics that are more risque (I'm certainly not making a hentai game, I'm just looking for RTP graphics that are not plain vanilla RTP), whatever really. I guess not pallet swaps, those would not be useful.
I remember seeing these on a Japanese website back when I used to know my way around the scene, but that was a long time ago. Can anyone point me in the same direction? Thanks.

Colors of Damnation ACE Review
author=StormCrowMost of these things are explained in Tutorial Mode which I recommend to play first to get an idea how to play this game.
"Because duh!" is the closest thing to an in-game explanation we get.
You misunderstood. I meant that there was no IN-UNIVERSE, STORY REASON for why color coded bullets are needed to murder these RTP troopers.
You're right that I should have played the tutorial (kind of confusingly titled "Simulation") more. Initially, I only went left to talk to the Red Trooper and right to talk to the Green Trooper. It simply didn't occur me to walk up and down and talk to those characters waiting off the screen.
So I completely missed this useful chart:

If they take partial damage from complimentary colors, that's very clever, but I stand by my complaint about them being bullet sponges.
I see now that the tutorial did mention the Diamond power up increasing critical chance, which I frankly didn't know was even a thing in this game (flat-out double damage might have been better). That said, I could have SWORN that I was taking damage when I stepped on those Diamonds. Might be the wonky collision detection anyway or just the fact that seeing a big fiery explosion makes one think they're taking damage.
I also missed the actual practice levels. I played them just now. They don't do the best job of preparing the player for actual combat, but they are a nice feature. The same is true of the level editor. I don't enjoy the basic gameplay enough to muck around with the level editor, but it's quite technically impressive that it's there!!
Edit:
So, absolutely no one should take this as a precedent, because it will probably never happen again as long as I'm around RMN/the scene, but I actually increased my review score by half a star based on the points that Tw0Face made. The tutorials, secret stage, survival mode, and level editor add gameplay value for people, who, unlike me, dig the basic gameplay, and that's worth half a star, objectively speaking. I tweaked the text of the review accordingly, also.
Edit 2:
So what is the deal with those giant aliens?

Commercial Games That "Take A While To Get Good"
I thought of XCOM: Enemy Unknown when I posted this thread actually, but the truth was I was pretty stoked even from the tutorial. The bombast worked on me.
Makerscore
Makerscore is recalculated in an overnight batch job (so when you don't see immediate changes in your makerscore, go to bed! Everything will be better in the morning).
THAT'S what I was looking for.
Edit (2 Months Later): man like, don't give people MS for getting Featured Game. Getting Featured Game is plenty of its own reward.
