1/1.5 - so horribile I will not mention it. No one would like this trash.
2/2.5 - bad but with some good qualities or good
but with many bad flaws. Could have been worse and some people may like it anyway.
3/3.5 - from decent to good games. This is what I normally expect: entertainment. Some people may like it more, others less but it's ok!
4/4.5 - exceeded my expectations. These are must play for everyone.

And yes, the pun was deliberate. It's been awhile, but since this is entirely RTP, I think that mother changing sprites was deliberate, too. I can't be sure, though. I remember I made that exact mistake in one of my early RPG Maker games and...it was actually hilarious and I may have been thinking about that.
Cut-off dialogue is never deliberate.
I liked it, I believed it was far shorter and simpler, so it was a nice surprise, the parody parts were also cool, but it's also a good thing that battles aren't really too tough! Love these old Rm2k/rm2k3 classics!

Hello! nice beginning but for some reason when meeting Elek the game freezes during the cutscene! Is there some fix?
Thanks! I also found two really minor issues: first the two doors in the first room bear the sign of interaction/description but they have no interaction, second the woman on the bench is compenetrable. But yeah, nothing really meaningful! I'll re-download it soon thanks

Hey there! I can explain some of these.
- I do not understand the meaning of the discussion in the beginning between father and daughter,
It was to signify they had a "fun" and "normal" family life. That was it. Just a discussion about the show they were watching.
- also "a line of books that makes no sense?", what does that mean?
This made sense to me in my head, but I guess it doesn't for others, which is my bad! I'll be fixing this.
- there are a TON of cut sentences for example right at the beginning after the prologue, when examining an item in grandma's bedroom, in the spare room when checking the candlestick, and then at the end of the first chapter!
This, from what I found out recently, is an issue with the font. During my playtest, it wasn't cut off at all, which is why I never noticed it. This will also be fixed.
And regarding "No sound effect for getting an item", it was part of a series of jokes about RPG games the developer put in when interacting with the chests in the hotel rooms.
The story in the first game is actually confusing, and it doesn't help the developer cut some content out while also carelessly leaving some pieces of said cut content in the game.
Yes, I understood that some things are just jokes anyway it felt a bit odd and I do not know if every player will like that since it somehow ruins the horror atmosphere, but it's ok. The monsters themselves are, in some cases, pretty ridiculous and not scary at all (the real scary thing is getting a game-over and having to reload!)
I also understant the first introductive part, still it seemed a weird/confusing dialogue, I mean even without dialogues it would have been an acceptable scene.

I'm surprised to see this game still gain attention after all these years.
This game has felt somewhat divisive with such as engine choice and design decisions made, but it was an overall positive and fun experience.
Yeah, because I'm one that likes these ooooooold games haha! No, really, this is as good as Grimorum or Pokemon, The Evil Inside 2, so yeah it was enjoyable despite some limitations, of course! Ambitious project, and rather good result!
