1/1.5 - so horribile I will not mention it. No one would like this trash.
2/2.5 - bad but with some good qualities or good
but with many bad flaws. Could have been worse and some people may like it anyway.
3/3.5 - from decent to good games. This is what I normally expect: entertainment. Some people may like it more, others less but it's ok!
4/4.5 - exceeded my expectations. These are must play for everyone.
5 - Rpgmaker Nirvana
*NOTE*: event games/jam submissions and other games that were developed in a very short time or with other restrictions get a rating bonus (usually +0,5), you are warned!

Oathguard Review
author=mellytan
I tried to figure out what to say in response to this review but all I can muster under the influence of alcohol is: Thank you. Thank you for acknowledging this work's existence and therefore acknowledging my own existence as well. This makes me want to work on the continuation of Oathguard, my own life's magnum opus; if only I could break away from the false bonds of the corporeal.
YAY! I'm thankful for playing this gem since too many cool rm2k and rm2k3 (complete and demos) are unavailable and that's really a pity. Some of these old games are really cool and sadly I discovered them too late! Sigh.

Did you find the game breaking bug in this game? Since I don't think it was ever updated to fix it.
Oh no! I have to check your review then. Sadly it took me so much to make it run that I speeded through it. Well, not that there is much to do anyway.

Aaaa, thank you so much for the review! I'm so happy that you enjoyed the game ^^! I'm really glad you liked the art and story because I spent probably the most time on them (and mini games, making them in RPG Maker was quite a challange XD).
Sooo thanks, this review made my day ^^! Its the first one I received haha~
Yeah! Second (that maybe it's not very surreal, still I liked it a lot) and last chapter were my favourites. I know Rpgmaker is not great to do the action parts, I was not fond of the battles against the robots and the circus final part (sometimes due bad luck I was trapped and hit, no matter what) while the rest was pretty much cool and enjoyable!

That would be amazing. Thanks! An updated demo of Vanity 2.0 has already been uploaded, jsyk. =P
I know, I am constantly dying at the boss in the mansion, he has a pooooowerful attack. But I will win as soon as I find a cool strategy, I'm getting better. Btw I liked the changed.
And yes, like for Three the Hard Way I've to remade some old reviews that were pretty bad lol.

The boss battles in Onyx v2.0 are much more tolerable. Many of them are susceptible to a particular status abnormality. So you can exploit the hell out of their weaknesses.
Cool. I do not need to say that probably, but I'm waiting for it. I must say that Onyx is my favourite (together with Onyx 2 ofc) for setting, story and characters.

For the Zoraina fight, you could always go outside and grind on the field. But now you can rest inside Raspera for free full feeling and buy new items from a vending machine.
aAAAH I remember grinding a lot on the fields against the ice/snow-themed
enemies. That place is a bit far from every city so it's ok. I also hated Zoraina! Lol
Oh well I'm sure I will have to re-send and updated review for this (and Vanity too) when it is released
Heavenly Martyr Review

Good review :kitty thumb: . XD I know I mentioned this on another review of yours. But you really do cover a lot of ground with these reviews. It's fair and level headed, addresses some complaints, but also goes into the structure and what the games about - I wish more reviews were like this one. It's a lot like the ones I use to read in Playstation Magazine back in the day, where they had a really really small column, with maybe 3 or 4 screenshots. But they tried to say as much as they could, in the little space that they had.
Great stuff here.
XD I wish we had more Rpgmakeraddicts ♥♥♥.
Thankssss!
Anyway first reviews were terrible, I've redone one so far (Three the Hard Way), but yeah I believe that screenshots are mandatory, they're the first thing that attract me.
In any case it's enough, after all we need even more people to make games like this one!

Hi, good game
By the way how i can defeat the grey marty and her reppy?
Yay, that's the hardest battle and I won on my third try. Concentrate all the attacks on one of the two (IF I remember correctly the enemy Reppy, but I am not sure), then as soon as one falls down it will be easy. Be sure to have some healing items, for the rest it's probably easier if you upgrade your items at the shop but at the time I won with just the basic gear.

This exact room was giving me a lot of issues/headaches, trying to figure out how to get through to where this screenshot is positioned at. I ended up throwing my hands up, and editing the map with Ace. So, good on you for figuring it out!
After playing the other games in the series fairly recently, (and the fourth entry yet another time because that's where I was introduced to it), I can agree that the music here is modified version from previous entries. You could say the whole game is like a giant throwback to the previous entries, though, there is a kind of reasoning behind that other than pure nostalgia value.
Heheheh I admit that that puzzle took me one or two tries (had to reset it a couple of times, the biggest problem for me here was the darkness!) before finding the right combination but these were by far my favourite parts because I love these kind of puzzles (I remember that many people had also trouble with the 2nd Repent Loci game and its puzzles, but for me it was ok), well I liked them a lot, as much as I hated the part there you have to fight the blue guys in the lake with the spiral path full of brambles! Argh that was terrible (since they actually shoot!) anyway I did it.
Yep, it's a throwback, but still the rpg elements are totally new and while I didn't like these so much, I must compliment Zorga for actually adding something new instead of simply making a game that's "more of the same", because you know after 4 other titles the puzzle can become stale (well this doesn't happen with this series and does not happen with Repent Loci either!).
Klaustastrophe Review

Though arguably the hardest boss fight in this game is against Texas Hot Dog Ranger since he moves and shoots at the same time. At least I assume this is why TheRpgmakerAddict thinks this boss is the toughest of the three.
Yep! I did that fight so many times that I was almost ragequitting! I dunno maybe I suck, but all the parts before that bossfight are quite slow-paced.
author=thesacredlobo
I'd argue the final boss is still worse since you have to defeat him three times in order to beat the game.
I repeated this boss fight only two times, I think I died once on the second section. Not too bad, I mean the final opponent is the Final Boss, so... I expected him to be tougher!
