The Most Important Aspect of a Game
The most important thing is the system that is the meat of the gameplay - in 99% of RPGs this being the battle system. A good battle system carries the game, an unremarkable battle system can be carried by other elements, an actively bad battle system just kills enjoyment and makes playing through the game a chore.
Same applies for non-RPGs, just replace battles with the main mode of gameplay.

Pet Peeves, turn offs, and other things that piss you off.
People who simply are incapable of not producing noise are infuriating. I'm not sure if it's coincidental but these people often also seem to have problems with hygiene.
Other than that, there's also the people who just love to gender-generalize everything. Referring to a behavior as belonging to men or women in general is insulting.

As the sun sets, the heroes retire to their shelters, disheartened by the misjudged lynch of their fellow hero. Now it is the villains time to strike. They raced towards the one who seemed so threatening with the usefulness of her powers. After they arrived to their target's tent, they quietly crept inside. It's a scene we're all familiar with. All that could be seen was the wicked blur of an oversized katana as it cleaved right through the victim. The one who could speak to the dead, was now more familiar with the spirits than ever before. The villains then retreated quickly back to their own shelters leaving the body of geodude (Aeris, Hero, Spirit Medium) there to rot.

FFXII What do you think?
If you are a perfectionist you will curl up in a ball muttering in the corner in your room long before beating the game. It's a fun, if flawed game when just enjoyed in its own right. It's rushed and it shows (50% of the game's dialogue is packed into the first 20% of the game) but at its best the epic size dungeons and incredibly dramatic (not melodramatic, though - it's very well done) voiceacting in plot scenes make you forget about the stretches that are somewhat more dull. A solid 7.5 game.
