Locker now supports private files
The Locker has always supported private files, actually. There was just no way for you to MAKE them private!
However that has just changed with this latest update. You should see a new button in your Locker that says what the current access for a file is. Click it to change between Public and Private.
Private files are merely unlisted when viewing the user's Locker file listing. You are able to direct link to the locker page still.
Let me know if you get any bugs with this. As a note, JavaScript must be turned on for this to work.

Comment Notices Removed
As some of you have noticed, the site is no longer generating notices for comments. Not sure about you guys, but I had about 14 pages worth of unread notices that were mostly comments.
I am currently thinking out better ways to keep people connected to game updates. I feel how it is now, without comments, gives people adequate information on the actual game, but not necessarily the chatter going on with it.
Ideas on the matter would be most helpful.

Retrode: Awesome USB Device for SNES and Genesis games
So I just got my Retrode today. It is basically a USB adapter that you can plug SNES or Genesis carts into and it will give you a ROM file. Also in the case of SNES games, the .SRM file for the save RAM.

Pretty URLs!
I updated the site so it has very pretty URLs now! Not the entire site is like this, but the game profiles have been converted.
This breaks all the links to your game profile except the main page. Links to image gallery pages are broken, but not the raw images.
Why did I do this? It's prettier.

Misao Results for 2009!
I have done some tallying for the results of last year's Misao votes. I wasn't a huge fan of it only lasting a month, but I wanted 2010 to start off fresh and clean.
As a note, I had to discount some votes due to random cheaters signing up with fake email addresses.
I also noticed a few quirks with the way things were setup for last year and have made a change to them from here out:
The majority of categories are restricted to completed games only. Demos are no longer eligible for Game of the Year, for example. There will be a reference for the categories and their restrictions when you vote and also in the Misaos page.

The real man's name was Kim Peek and I actually met him a few years ago. He was able to recall amazing dates and places like they were nothing.

My most anticipated game this year is being released a week early in the US! Gamestop is apparently starting to sell the game today instead of the 26th (which was a very stupid date in the US).
