[2k3] Seeking mappers~

Still looking for anyone interested in mapping or remapping! Now that the recent patch has been done, this is the main focus for the game, and having an extra hand or two would help make this go by so much faster. So if you're interested in helping out, or am curious as to how the mapping is (aside from the above videos), feel free to drop a line! I hope for someone to help out on this. ^^;

Requesting help with rebalancing skills!

*Keep in mind, turns count the enemy's turns as well. So if you have 4 party members vs 1 boss, if everyone goes that's 5 turns right there, hence the status level scaling (5 extra turns per level). Some statuses at max level don't last 50 turns, and instead last an indefinite amount of time until cured.

*Permanent Border heals more statuses the more it's leveled up though, hence why it has a higher MP cost per level. Those such as Reisen's status healing skills do not rise at all, except for when it becomes AoE obviously.

*I haven't quite decided on how to handle this skill yet. Not sure what to do with the MP cost atm.

*Most characters generally have around 10 skills each, some less and some more. Reimu has the most of out all of the characters (though technically Koishi has the most due to the Blue Magic system). Some skills will have more application than others in specific fights.

You can see the older versions of the game if you check out ChefMKT's incomplete playthrough of it on Youtube. And by older versions, I mean when beta4 just came out (so about 2 years ago or so). It's obviously been updated a lot more since then so things you'll see in the videos won't be 100% accurate now.

The Tier List AKA Xenomic's Personal Best/Worst Characters in Touhou Fantasy! *SPOILERS!!!*

For those curious, after nearly a year, this is what the new list looks like (in my eyes) with all of the new changes done to characters:

I won't say why or how yet, but the Changelog might show why. Some aren't fully 100% done (Suwako for instance...), but for the most part almost everyone is done.

Update to what I have for each character. Note that those marked with an * at the end of an ability is an ability not implemented yet or is debatable. Still need more people to brainstorm with!


Reimu:
*Main Command: Divinity
*Sub Command: Pray (Restores 10% Max HP to party)
*Battle Passive: Purification (Removes all negative statuses excluding Death after battle ends to Reimu. During battle, 10% chance each turn to remove all negative statuses from Reimu.)
*Overworld Field Ability: Intuition (Hint system to solve dilemmas)*


Marisa:
*Main Command: Magic
*Sub Command: Steal
*Battle Passive: None
*Overworld Passive: Kleptomania (If in the party when opening a chest, obtain extra items sometimes. If open a chest with more than one item as a choice, obtain all items instead)*


Cirno:
*Main Command: Ice
*Sub Command: Call
*Battle Passive: Eternal Bond (If Cirno is inflicted with a status that prevents her from acting (Confusion, Charm, Berserk, Sleep, Venom, Petrify, Stop, Heat, Paralyze, and Disable), Daiyousei will restore 10% Max HP to the party and remove all negative statuses to the party except Death. Occurs only once per battle)
*Overworld Passive: Provocation (Doubles Encounter rate)


Aya:
*Main Command: Wind
*Sub Command: Intel (Scans enemy for HP/MP/Elemental resistances/Drop/Steal/Morph/Information)
*Battle Passive: Tengu's Initiative (Enemies speed is halved for 4 turns at the start of battle)

Meiling:

*Overworld Passive: Mana Reserves (Restores 10% Max MP to Patchouli after every 25 steps taken)


Reisen:
*Main Command: Lunatic
*Sub Command: Insanity (Absorbs all negative statuses except Death from allies and gives them to Reisen)
*Battle Passive: Auto-Med (Automatically use healing items on inflicted character with status)*

Includes all the previous fixes, as well as more bugfixes (so many game-halting bugs...but that's due to the faulty maps that weren't thoroughly checked that are being fixed). In addition, I got all of the Bless abilities done now 100%, so those are taken care of. I'll be working on other things in the database before I get back to mapping. Yes, it'll be still quite a while before beta5 work happens, but hey...get it done now, don't have to worry about it later, no?

What got fixed up:

*Can now cross bridges on Higan. This was due to the water tiles BEHIND the bridge tiles being the culprit (the ones used were set to impassable. I had to use the passable ones to make it so you can walk across it).
*All of the encounter stuff (Reimu's Demon Charm, Momiji's and Aya's Avoidance, Sakuya's Vanishing Everything, the Demon items, Cirno and Yuuka being in the party, etc.). are ALL now working. THIS was a brainbuster and a half to get sorted out, but it got sorted out! If Vanishing Everything and the Demon items don't work still, let me know. They are only supposed to last for 30 seconds flat so...


Hopefully THAT fixes everything up! I'm kinda glad I DID release this patch now...as it got several things fixed up because of it. My lord. x_x;;

This patch fixes up the following and needs to be used in conjunction with the version 1.100 patch:

World Map (fixed error regarding going to the area where Yuuka is located. Fixed error regarding teleport event into Poltergeist Mansion. Added location names to Human Village and Poltergeist Mansion as per every other area when asked if want to enter or not).
Blazing Fires of Hell (Fixed a map regarding multiple map errors. Fixed exit from Ancient City to Blazing Fires teleport error).
Scarlet Devil Mansion (Fixed teleport errors from 2F East/West Wings to Front Foyer. Added description at entrance to basement regarding needing Patchouli in the party).
Underschool (Fixed error regarding entering from Forest of Magic, where it would still be dark and rainy. Fixed Akyuu and Keine still being in final room despite being in Human Village later)
Myouren Temple (Fixed error regarding skipping intro and having the two Lesser Tiamats and Inferno still on the map)

In addition, I have to release this particular map again because well...I forgot to fix entrances when I changed the map design/layout. This is why I didn't want to release the current patch until maps were fixed, but well...things happened and here's the fix to that. At least it's not a complete update pack! >_>;

Book of Combat

Oh man, this is exactly what I was hoping to have for my game at some point. Would fit perfectly well in it too (especially since I was thinking of having an item that would go into a menu such as this). It's just...looks awesome o_o

Anywho, Restore HP and Critical: Haste has been fully implemented for Meiling and Sakuya, and the Intimidation/Provocation for Yuuka/Cirno are in too. Bonecrusher is in, but is currently debatable right now, and I'm having issues with Auto-Med. I don't think I can put it in because of how 2K3 has Conditional Branches (why the hell can't I check if a hero has a specific status in battle?!). Ugh...
