Ciel Nocturne
accha art, yay
Well, this is kind of off the beaten track, but for the past couple of months I've been drawing for two youtaite chorus battles at the same time. Basically, anime drawings to accompany Japanese song covers and made into presentable videos, all done within short periods of time! Yay!
My personal favorite is this the lighthearted pop-py one:
And a playlist of videos, as they're released can be found here.
At the end of Sept I'll be an animator for a 3rd chorus battle, so I've also been practicing my AE skills. Here's the result of my most recent practice session, in which I use an old character art, hastily scribbled scenery, and a VN opening song.
Could probably make some cool oldschool rpg opening movies someday, we'll see.

Playing It Moves. The longer you sit in the pause screen listening to the terrifying ambience, the harder it gets to get back to playing :(
:(((((
I just started chapter five and I'm regretting everything after what just happened with... with the babies :'''''(

Art, art, everywhere... A massive art dump [Updated Dec 6, 2014]

dude that description, laughing at it makes me feel twelve years old
You use really awesome color palettes! Some of your combos are kind of unusual but still aesthetically pleasing, which is quite impressive. Looking forward to seeing those WIPs finished, they're coming along amazingly.

I've mentioned this before but your graphics are awesome, Yuna!
Good luck with the autotile, water seems like tricky stuff ):

Update on fairy forest tilesets, they actually came out ok!! :'''D
(mixed with the swampy RTP tiles here)
Just gonna add some shadow under the blue grass tiles and maybe nudge everything else closer to blue it'll be good to go, I think. Thanks again for the advice Kylaila and Ebeth!! Kylaila, your tips on making a pattern that repeats seamlessly really helped especially. >w<)b

Gosh, there's a lot of amazing stuff being made here.
After ruminating for a few days I'm going to attempt a fairy forest RTP spinoff/addon (and, well, this is all I got so far) but I need some major tips on how to attempt tilesets.
Like, I am blown away by people who can somehow make functional and aesthetically pleasing tiles. Kylaila's up there is really impressive, especially that altar. Kudos to you!
My problem is that whenever I attempt dirt or grass they look super crappy (I'd give an example but I chucked it in a fit of rage), and I feel like if I can't even get the basic foundation of the world right I shouldn't even attempt going further. Do you guys have any tips on how to start a tileset? Like, do you gather a basic palette to organize how the area looks? Do you construct a mockup of a game screen before converting things into actual tilesets? Advice on how to make grass/dirt? Tiles?? :(
please and thanks for any help
