The next game of the series is Blue Dreams and it's on hold now. We actually have the story done, but after Painted Heart as well as some very enlightening convos here on RMN I decided that what we had so far in terms of gameplay and the story presentation had to go. So, right now I'm brainstorming some more "original" gameplay which, if successful, will have more in common with adventure games from the 90s rather than the "walk here, interact with spot, walk to next area" gameplay that's been criticized in recent RPG Maker adventure games.
Thanks for the link! Trass has been really adamant about watching all of the Let's Plays so I'm sure he had a field day once he saw your link =P

I played this game not knowing it's genre. I actually had a lot of fun despite it's darker tones. Plus I had to play it because my name was in the title.
But I wanted to ask if there was an MP3 of the song that plays when you are at the menu screen. It's such a pretty song and I don't want to have to find it somewhere that doesn't have permission to distribute it.
Thank you for playing! The entire OST is free to download from the bandcamp link at the bottom of the game description (and a few of the vocal/instrumental tracks can be downloaded individually). Just enter a price of 0 when bandcamp prompts you to "name your price".
You can also find the entire OST on youtube apparently, or listen to it on Trass's soundcloud as "Dreaming Mary (ft. Usachii)". He also has title screen music for other games made by various developers on his soundcloud, which I encourage you to check out, too!

Deadlines change depending on what state your school's at. Still better to get it as early as possible.

How is it for the developers here? Any shitstorms going on or just the occasional grumpy customer?
I love the people here. Now, I joined recently too, right around the Kontroversy, but all of the negative/critical feedback I've gotten from RMN was civil and thought-out. If I recall right, there's a strict policy here against harassing other members. It's wonderful. Love it.
Now, if you were to go to a place where people won't be held accountable for their actions, you won't have a good time.
I haven't been too worried about people just disliking my games. Any game dev should KNOW that not everyone will like their game... The scary thing is the threat of personal attacks over the internet. Yeah, I know, cyberbullying waa waa, but it's honestly pretty scary to think of what will happen if my next games don't handle certain subjects in a way people consider "tasteful".
Back on topic, I find it helps to think that people want something interesting, rather than to think "people want rpgs with 30 hours of gameplay" or "people want horror games with lots of jumpscares". If you can make something weird in the way no one else can, then you're on the right path.
