7 Days: An NPC Story

Well, it accomplishes one thing really. It makes me appreciate the cliched rpg's a lot more after playing this. And now I realize just how dull an NPC's life can be.

Ten Tales

It needed a lot of proofreading, but overall it was a charming story... even if it was bizarre. I kind of wished we could have seen Mark and Maria's relationship grow as the game progressed, rather than having it stated to us at the end. Still, this is a nice game for somebody with about 30 minutes to spare.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

And just realized this will be on Ace. Hopefully the scripting feature doesn't throw you too far off compared to RM2K3, but it's good to see more quality games coming out for Ace.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

This is what I like most about RM games, the ones who really take the time to make some real quality stuff. Hero's Realm, Dragon Fantasy, Generica, Dragon Quest: Legacy of the Lost, and of course, Blackmoon Prophecy.

Not only that, but they're also free!

I've still got to weed out some time to play BP, but I'm excited to know of a sequel even prior to playing through the first game.

Chronicles of a Dark Lord: Episode II War of The Abyss

When you post a topic, expect that their will be criticism even before anybody plays the demo version or receives the completed game. What Mawk is stating is that instead of addressing the criticism here on this thread, you appear to be brushing it away, even while maintaining a calm, collective manner.

Your calmness is actually quite commendable when it's so easy to get defensive and rude in the face of criticism, but it can be taken to the opposite extreme as well, by appearing that you don't care enough to get into an arguement, and therefore don't acknowledge and address the concerns other than to suggest for people to try the demo. Keep in mind, even while the demo is free, people need to be sold on the idea of giving up their time to playing the demo. And if they see no reason to play the demo, they're not very likely to purchase and/or play the final product.

That said, the graphics don't look all that bad to me - a bit too dark, maybe, but not bad - and the overall design looks to be a more impressive game than the previous installment. Then again, I'm fairly easy to please, and others may have higher standards, especially when it comes to commercial games.

Slow Roll...

I've had a portable 500GB drive for going on about 2 years now (Transcend). Cost me about $100 when I bought it but it's saved my neck a number of times. These days, those go real cheap and often serve better than a regular thumb drive.

The bane that effects all computers. They just don't last as long as we'd like 'em to.

You Are Not The Hero! Review

author=bulmabriefs144
Yea, I don't get this review either. I'd bump it an entire point, because it cleverly made fun of the whole hero genre. Though, in terms of features, there should be a way to go up behind a counter and sell items.

That's actually not a bad idea! Maybe a feature in each town that allows the non-heroic heroine to take on a particular NPC role. Players can choose to do them or not, but doing so may open up secret items or other side quests. Like maybe you go to a town and have to act as the priest to hear confessions, and in another town you have to sell/trade for items/equipment.

Last Dream

this is cracked last dream..pls ban this forum

What exactly is this supposed to accomplish by posting the cracked site here, other potentially getting into trouble with RMN?

RMN can't go around banning other forums they have no control over, other than to ensure people aren't linking those sites here. So by posting this link, you potentially are driving people to the site (which the developer wants to avoid, I'm sure) and set yourself up in the process.

The author who made Chrono Alter and Prelude will be coming back

While not great, I actually enjoyed Chrono Alter. At the very least it was one of the better fan games I've played.

Good to see more Chrono is planned.

Feelings About Dungeon Crawlers?

author=unity
I'm personally terrible at riddles so I don't hold it against games when they have them and I take a long time to figure them out.

And now I feel really stupid, but I can't figure out the answer to that one, but I'm really curious about what it is. Unless it means "don't press the switches."

I'm kind of the same. It takes me awhile to solve riddles. But when I do, I feel pretty proud. It's just... it usually takes me a long time to figure them out. But I don't fault the developer or think his dungeon is broken when I can't get it. Instead, I recognize it's a riddle my brain can't wrap around, and I'll either ask around in the forum or I'll stay at it until I can get it.

It's too bad, though, because Wild Arms is my all time favorite game, chalk full of riddles and puzzles, and anymore you don't see games like that people just don't understand them or they just want an interactive movie they can call an rpg and not have to put any effort or thought into playing it.
