Tips for indoors mapping?
Space is the number one fault of interior mapping. Smaller is often better. When it comes to envisioning interior mapping, I look at each tile as an approximate 2 feet by 2 feet size. That helps give me perspective.
With this in mind, I can easily decide a single bedroom would be around 5 to 10 tiles across and 5 to 10 tiles high, to give an approximation of a minimum of 50 feet (for very small bedrooms) to 200 feet (very large bedrooms). I usually settle for something in the middle.
Also, don't put everything against the walls, which winds up leaving the middle area open. Add a table, chairs, a section of wall for closeting... those help to fill in space without over cluttering.

What would be an appropriate amount to pay for graphics
It boils down to how much you need (a single tile, a full sheet, a full set) and the quality.
$15 to $40 would be a good estimate, as Zachary_Braun pointed out, but it really depends on who you are contracting out.
In VX Ace, each map can have five full sheets of tiles. To do a full set like that (commissioned) could cost upwards of $200 to $500, assuming it's going to be unique to your game alone and nobody else will have access to the same resources.
However, if the artist is free to sell multiple copies (meaning it's not unique to your game alone, sold through a company store like RMW), they may be willing to sell at a reduced cost.

Caroline & Alexander
A year's worth of no posts, but I finally got around to this today. Odd game, a bit disheartening since I wanted more.
However, my interpretation of this: Caroline was a past love and she had died. Alexander went mad and was confined to a sort of mental hospital / monastery for therapy. Perhaps he was schizophrenic? That would explain the nun and peaceful surroundings, and other patients are there picking up a sort of therapeutic hobby, such as learning music.
Caroline's father blames Alexander and doesn't want anything to do with him. Likewise, Alexander is haunted by Caroline's ghost, and blames himself for her death.
Perhaps they were the lovers at the beach, and he was the one who was drunk and thinking himself "unworthy".

Feelings About Dungeon Crawlers?
I've played a one dungeon crawler that actually implemented a decent story throughout. At least I assumed it was a dungeon crawler because the game primarily took place in one massive dungeon, full of puzzles, with limited resources, and no villages or outside world map to venture through; but there was a story to go alone with it that was fairly well written.
However, I typically stay away from dungeon crawlers because I'm a sucker for a good stories and, as LockeZ pointed out, most dungeon crawlers have little to no plot.

So I played this through yesterday. It was surprisingly short and sweet, but a nice setup for the next game.
Outside of the Font issue, the only time I hit an error (missing files I think) was when I was sneaking around the library, knocked over the bottle, and the guard came to investigate. The first time I chose for Owen to take care of the guard and that resulted in the game crashing. The second I chose Keith, and the game went on without any problems.
Other than that, it was an enjoyable 30 minutes, and had a decent amount of character building in such a short time.

There is a review section for something, darkwraith007, please use it, there is no need to add more salt to the wounds here in the comments please.
And even risking to add more salt myself, the strong points of this game are the weak point of the remake and viceversa, and now please, lets gonna let the sleeping dog die in peace.
And who are you to tell another poster what to do or how to comment? Not everybody needs to subject themselves to writing a review for an otherwise old game, ensuring that the review meets the standard for this site, and then waiting around for said review to be approved (assuming it meets those standards) when a comment that explains a few quick thoughts can do the exact same thing.
Personally, I enjoyed the game for what it was, because it was one of the few sci-fi games (at the time) that was fully completed, but I agree with dark's comments 100%. It was an exhausting game that could have been done much better.
The developer did the game justice with a remake, and that game is far superior to this.
[ACE] Help installing Yanfly'sc scripts
How about trying a legit copy of Ace and seeing if that helps. We can only speculate on what you're doing wrong with a script when it comes to a legal version. If you're using a cracked version, though, it could be a number of issues you're having.
Night of the Living Noobyas Review
Same here, I tend to grind a bit myself in all role playing games I've played, but even on a replay of this game had some difficulty even with grinding. Grinding isn't really enjoyed these days, and considering that RM games are a dime a dozen, it's best to make it as easy as possible, since I'd rather people play and enjoy the game rather than quit out of frustration.
