Veteran student who has the knowl that is needed to answer questions and stuff like that.
I'm making a game too, but since I am not an artist, musician, programmer, or writer, it's going extremely slowly. You can find it over there->

Personal notes:
- DO NOT use nested loops in RPGMaker
- DO NOT use centered origin show picture, it cannot be removed unless it goes back to topleft corner origin
- F9 for debug menu
- My biggest trip up is mapping. I really have no idea whatsoever when it comes to making maps. Which means I need to get a good map idea before I can make something even remotely playable.

I feel like if your gam is inspired by Earthbound or Yume Nikki, you probably don't need to bother to say it, because the influence will be very obvious.

A Rant
This thread will probably get locked pretty fast. Anyway i think u shouldnt take review scores this seriously, so much as to have poured out your entire personal belief system like this. For example I would give ur game a 1 star because the game froze when i played it. Would that be fair? Not really. But you don't have to take it seriously because you fixed that problem already. Same thing goes for any review/criticism/whatever, just read the feedback, fix what u think needs fixing and move on.

Deleting every let's play I ever made, not how I imagined coming back to RMN....
that makes no sense. they cant even watch every single youtube video, much less determine if every video is for kids or not. Guidelines state that it is up to the creator to designate their video correctly.
I dont think you should mark ur entire channel as 'for kids' because that would probably be where the risk of fines can occur. If I have a channel filled with gorey first person shooter playthru's then I definitely dont want to make it 'for kids'
OK I READ more about it and it looks like the main thing is that making it for kids complies with the law about not collecting info on minors. Now that sounds really dumb because the gorey first person shooter playthru's are meant for kids now. Great idea.

theres a setting you can tick that marks ur entire channel as kid or non-kid friendly. its under settings > advanced settings.
i highly doubt kids use their real age on youtoob anyway, this is pretty pointless.

u probably already know someones selling rmn games on app store. Theres thousands of people in the world that will be looking to sell free stuff and make a quick buck. It's just like trying to stop game pirates, theres too many of them. And ppl will usually side with there friends over non-friends.
