Site Announcement

wow. i never thought i'd be so attached to a website until i read that it would be shutting down - you don't know what you've got until it's...nearly lost.
thank you, holb!

RMN Closing Down April 2nd

everything you've done for this site has been fantastic WIP and everyone appreciates and respects you for this, but why not hand it down to kenton? he's the perfect candidate, surely! he's always been enthusiastic when it comes to RMN and i truly think he's been nothing short of the perfect member.
when you let other people run the site before the alternative wasn't closure of the site; now we know this i'm sure everyone will work extra hard to ensure nothing is botched.

sigh sigh sigh i wish mog were here

where will you be going when rmn shuts down?

To be fair to lockeZ, i don't even have a game or anything like that and i feel pretty depressed about this. It's the first forum (even website) and probably last that i've ever frequented consistently. I don't have a particular interest to join any others and this made it so easy to contact the developers and keep up with the latest games.
Though there's been some drama, i'm sure there is in any other forum. I don't think the cons outweigh the pros in this case and i really, really don't feel it's necessary to shut this site down.

Though it seems a lot of people have already said their farewells, so, whatever. If they're giving up that easily, maybe people don't care enough for this site to stay up after all...

all those gamepages...just because some twats can't get over their superiority complex? i feel angry

Has anyone here played "Catherine", yet? *spoilers*

As of today, yes it has an american release. Yesterday, and for about a week prior, Atlus had given a definite "No." to an American release. Apparently it was just a ruse.
it was never a definite no, it was a 'no plans as of yet,' i'm pretty sure.

he's allowed to like photoshopped anime work, he just appreciates traditional work too.

i quite like the washy colours used, looks really good!

What's the new Featured Game?

but if it's so unbearable then just review it after 1/2 hours of play, like you did (well, 7 hours in your case).
7 hours isn't even 10%...
okay?
if it was that bad there's really no reason to continue to 100% completion. it doesn't matter. even if the developer insists there's a big plot twist, no-one has to/should carry on.
i'm not sure what you're trying to argue (or if you even are) haha

edit: sounds like a good idea, Liberty :). i was under the impression you were all doing separate reviews - i agree with Saya that when submitted it should just be one.

Yeah playing 100 hours of a game isn't enough to determine if a game is good/bad and should or should not be recommended.
what? that's not what i was implying at all.
i get why no-one would want to play the full 100 hours of this game, but if it's so unbearable then just review it after 1/2 hours of play, like you did (well, 7 hours in your case). i don't see a need to start playing 2/3rds of the way through, it just destroys whatever learning curve there's been/foreshadowing of the story.

i'm not that against it though, just pointing out something that looks like it could be a problem...i mean, review's are always a good thing.

That, and it's not all about his game. There may be other games planned on the cards (we were tossing around a few names of very long games besides FT3), where the suffering shall be shared. It's never all about you, even if it seems it may be.
If so, i hope you change it from 'sharing the suffering,' because that's pretty negative. Unless you're you planning on doing games that are anticipatedly (is this a word? i'm leaning towards no haha) bad? In that case, surely you could be spending your time reviewing a game you're genuinely interested in and getting through it all yourself; making the review that bit more reliable, and avoiding giving rubbish games like 10 reviews.
Plus, the 7th person will have missed out on so many elements of the game.

It's not a totally bad idea, but i can see some reviews coming out dodgy (someone reviewing it after only starting to play 2/3rds of the way through seems strange).
