i'm voting yes. not happy with the amount of people who seem to want UKIP in power though :|.
Bin Laden Defeated
author=Feldschlacht IVYeah, i guess you're right, that is kinda sad isn't it.
It's stupendously depressing when something that might be interpreted as good happens in the world stage, and then people are automatically suspicious over it.
Sometimes a major event happens that *gasp* isn't shitty. Crazy, I know.
PS. Also what 'blunder' in Libya? Yes, I know the situation in Libya, but who blundered what? We haven't really interfered in that situation at all as of yet.
@Natook Some good points too. I was assuming that the government would have only pretended he was still alive when he'd actually died, as that's when they'd have something to gain from it, but after a bit of sleep...yeah those theories are pretty far fetched haha.
author=DyhaltoI think he was being sarcastic, :) you made good points and gave references which is nice.
I'm sorry :( I hadn't realized how much of an upright bitch I was coming across as.
/me builds pillow fort, codenamed Terran Bunker
oh i was talking about the death of Saif al-Arab btw
edit: but the more i look into it the more disgusted i am with NATO's 'accidents.' And Obama has a lot to do with Libyan problems, i would be surprised if you didn't know. It's a F-UK-US alliance.
Bin Laden Defeated
Soo...why's it so incredibly far fetched to believe that Osama hasn't actually been killed/has been dead for a very long time already (I can feel you all rolling your eyes but bear with me)? Why was he buried at sea with such haste when other wanted muslims weren't treated with the same respect? The DNA 'evidence,' isn't evidence yet. Since when has the media always told the truth? The government has been called out on being corrupt numerous times and i can't see that changing in the near future. If you aren't at least somewhat skeptical about the government then you're bloody naive.
You have to admit it's all very convenient given the blunder in Libya. I don't like getting into the conspiracy theories - usually they are ridiculous - and tbh i don't care when he died, the 'war on terror,' would have continued regardless, but there's always the other side of the coin, no matter how stupid you think it is. No-one has any evidence to back it up either way. Not yet at least.
Please prove my points wrong if you want, i'm not on either side of the fence and would kinda like the satisfaction of not sympathising with conspiracy theories. Just don't give me a 'u mad' speech unless it's properly warranted haha.
(i'm not gonna address 9/11 because i don't know shit about it)

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
I've been playing Suikoden 3 on and off between revision, but i still don't understand the battle system. No matter who i target they always seem to go for random enemies? And when i use a rune to damage several monsters, my guys are stupid enough to run in the way and i always end up hitting myself, so i'm too scared to use damaging runes now. Also, can i control what my second character does after i make the first use an item/rune/whatever?
Just wtf is going on with this stupid system it's annoying and i would appreciate someone to talk me through it haha.

Bin Laden Defeated
For the record, I don't think people are upset that he's dead, i think people have a problem with those that are celebrating the death. He was a horrible person and doesn't deserve anyone's sympathy, but it leaves a bitter taste celebrating something that should usually be mourned.
Bin Laden Defeated
Thinking shit will end because he's dead (and in a very non-suspicious way - buried at sea?) is hard to believe. It would be ideal to think that his death will dampen extremist views, but honestly that just isn't going to happen. Four years ago, maybe, but al-Qaeda far from rely on Bin Laden anymore, if anything this is just a reason for more hatred, not a victory. The entire 'war on terror,' situation is one big, corrupt mess.
Unless Afghans stop getting shot, i'm not really up to a celebration. I can see the other side of the coin, but i wouldn't feel comfortable celebrating anyone's death; the word 'justice,' is thrown around too easily. The ability to dehumanise someone, even Bin Laden, is never a good thing. Let's provoke all the millions of people in Afghanistan, Baghdad, Iraq etc. etc. to take revenge on the people who killed their family so they can celebrate 'grand retribution.'
Also, he has 24 children?! damn wtf

so beautiful
just step outside by yourself for a bit, i'm sure you'll meet some nice old people to keep you company.
...the queen looks like she has no idea what's going on, someone needs to tell her where she is
author=Yellow Magicaw you should make someone go with you! even if it's really boring and you can't see a thing at least make a day out of it. as much as i don't really care about the royal family either, i'm sure the procession will be very grand; something worth seeing.
I live ~2 miles away from Westminster Abbey but won't be doing anything special tomorrow because none of my friends seem to care.
Granted I'm not that bothered about the Royal Wedding myself but it's kind of sad, still...

Graphic Novels or Mangas?
i'm pretty sure manga falls under the category graphic novel. i don't know how it used to be, but these days if you go to the graphic novel section in Waterstones or w/e you'll find DC Comics etc. and manga. if it wasn't always like this, it probably started through marketing techniques expanding the genre of graphic novels.
manga, unlike a lot of western comics, covers a really wide range of audiences. western comics tend to be stereotypically superhero-ey.
they're both...good at what they do. i'm not an avid comic reader because i'm just not all that interested in the superhero scene, but i read translated manga if it has good reviews. i don't think you can really say, 'i enjoy western comics more than manga,' because there are so many sub-genres within graphic novels; i'm sure you could get an equally good thriller comic from america as one from japan. i would expect manga to be somewhat more popular simply because of the range of audience they cater towards, but it doesn't make the quality any better than a western comic.
