Picking up on Nein's point
I agree about battles I'm going to lose anyway - I don't know the number of times I've wasted expensive/rare items trying to win when there's no point, but I do know that there's been a lot of them.

Any way, that issue apart, I'm really enjoying the game.

Have you used the f12 reset key? You'll get that error if you do, but I haven't heard of it happening otherwise. If you haven't used the f12 key, do you remember the circumstances when it happened? Thanks for playing and for the feedback.

I have used the F12 because - and I know this is going to sound pathetic - having combed the menu many times, I can't find any other way to quit the game. It's not there as a menu option and I can't find it in any of the sub-menus. What am I missing? As for when it happens (and I can't remember if the first time was before or after I'd used F12), it's always when I save. As I always save into a different slot each time, it's not a variation on the old bug.

Am enjoying it so far - but (isn't there always a 'but') in just a couple of hours of gameplay I've been thrown out 3 times already by a stack error as follows:
Script 'Ladder Climing' line 164: SystemStackError occured
stack too deep

The Epic of Gilgamesh

Still no download?? Should this be in 'Completed'?

Shukumei Star II

I've been doing the basement in the Ancients' Library and, deciding that discretion is the better part of valor, decided after a while to consult the map you provided. Great help, but just one thing. The screenshot you put up clearly shows a chest with the protect dome spell. However, it doesn't appear to be there any more, unless it pops up through a trapdoor or something if you throw the right levers. Is it available later in the game? I remember from SS1 that it's a spell that's definitely worth having.

Shukumei Star

Thanks for this. Yes, I beat the elementals and dragons, it was just trying to find how to go on from there that had me stumped; couldn't find that final teleport. It's nearly midnight where I am, so I'll leave the attempt until tomorrow.

In answer to your question, I found 49 stars on my own, but had to use your location list to get the one in the cliff with the little boy - forget the name of the place. However, although I've found 50, I've only been able to collect 49 - just can't do the fire maze, I've tried I don't know how many times, but I don't have the reflexes. You need to be a lot younger than I am to do it.

As for finding hidden things, well I reckon I've found most things, but I have not been able to find the other key for the locked room on floor 7 of the Corax Temple. I hunted all over for that, but ...

While I was waiting for a reply I started SS2; I'm enjoying it - apart from the sickening feeling I got when I'd defeated the skeleton in the boat and talked to the character there without healing up and saving and then saw I was faced with another boss fight. I came through it, but it was pretty close.

Shukumei Star

Don't know if this page is still active - hope so.

I am totally confused and have wandered around so much that my entire party is now level 99. I have made it to the floor in the Luna Temple where you fight the dragons for various weapons. As I couldn't find anywhere to save and I'd been in there a long time, I went out, saved, bought more supplies and went back in - but the map layouts had changed dramatically. Wandered around some more, and am faced with rapidly depleting inventory of healing items, so will probably need to go out again. I think I've beaten all the dragons - what the heck do I do to move on? Presumably when I come back the maps will have changed again.

Thanks

Legendary Legend

Is Chaper 2 on its way? It would be great to see the story finished as chapter 1 was so good.

Love and War: Act I

I have 2 problems with the level 10 arrchery test for Lavie

For about the last hour of gameplay, Ryan (and now Lavie) are walking at about half speed - animated NPCs are moving at the correct speed, but not the main characters. Does this explain why the aiming sights in the test moves at a painfully slow speed, making it enormously diffficult to move it around to screen to get a target?

I've done this mini-game 11 times now and on each occasion, some of the targets stay on the sand, where I can't go, for ages - the longest being 54 seconds - so no new targets appear. It is, therefore, impossible to complete in the time limit.

What, if anything, can I do?
Thanks

If you can beat this game I'll give you the beta for DungeonQuest. Many more people have enjoyed that game :-)

Well, I've done it, and I've enjoyed it a lot. I think you turned out a great game there, so thanks very much. I didn't manage to find everything - never found the miner's beard or the code to open the box with the cell phone, but that's for another playthrough. I expect there's other stuff I've missed and don't even know that I have. But that's OK, I never expect to get everything first time.

That's fine, its around 8 hours.

8 hours?!? OK, I got lost for a while in the naga cave up north, but without grinding it's still taken me over 19 hours. Is 8 hous for all the caves/caverns etc?

I've been making something new today. I like it. A lot more variety with gameplay and easy stuff. Pick fights with anyone. Kill animals. Pick pocket. Steal eggs from chickens. Push and pull rocks. A lot more and diversity. Plus a side battle view.

Sounds great - good luck with it.
