Final Fantasy: The Phoenix Prophecies

If I can ever will myself to get back to it. I just don't have any motivation.

Worldwide economic situation worsening, unemployment rising, desperate measures.

I don't want to get into the theory of the recession and it's causes, but it is definitely hitting home.

I'm about to graduate from the University of Denver with a degree in journalism, finishing up my tenure in the top 3% of the student body. That's not bragging or anything, just laying down a foundation. This is the time of the year where me and my fellow classmates are supposed to be getting interviews, supposed to be setting up careers. It's just not happening. There are no jobs to be had in the field. Hell, we just had the Rocky Mountain News go under. Technical writing would sound like a good alternative, but even those jobs are getting consolidated within companies, done by administrative assistants and the like. It's not just the journalism department either, but the whole college of liberal arts. Before anyone goes off and calls these useless majors to begin with, there have been a myriad of jobs for these people before.

I am actually scared. There's no light at the end of the tunnel and I'm stuck wondering about an uncertain future. Do I go to graduate school, wasting a lot more money, and try to wait it out? I don't think there's a solid choice either way. Times are bleak, and I can understand the situation, but that's not going to help me sleep any easier.

Does Anyone Not Finish Games They Purchase?

There are a few RPG's that I actually really liked that I quit playing because I needed to power level. I kept thinking, "Oh yeah, I'll get back to it sometime," but I never did. Valkyrie Profile 2 was one of those games. Absolutely beautiful, I loved just about everything in that game, but once I had to grind a few levels I just lost interest.

Anticipated Games 2009

Behemoth's "The Corp." An actually good looking tactical FPS on RMXP. Can't wait to play it.

Fey

Glad to see you working again ^^

End The 2009 Misaos Do (Results Are In!)

If the nomination has to stay for the sake of precedence or something, I can respect that. It's not like I'll take any more action other than this little request. Should you want to pick my brain apart regarding my reasoning, I'd rather do it over PM/IM. I just don't feel like having to justify and rebuttal against members of this community. That's all I'll say about it in this topic, thanks for reading ^_^

End The 2009 Misaos Do (Results Are In!)

I appreciate the consideration for Best Dialogue, but I'm going to have to ask to have my project, Final Fantasy: The Phoenix Prophecies, removed from MISAO contention. This goes not only for that particular category, but also any category that it might get nominated for this year. Thanks, and good luck to everyone ^_^
