Luchi-chan's Lighting Tutorial.
@Clareain: Thanks. :) As for Laine, a dark windowskin normally indicates her inner thoughts. So she really isn't saying anything out loud. ^^ Otherwise she would look pretty peeved.
So the testing begins... and another thing.
@pyrofiend: I'm sorry that you perceived Laine that way, she was never intended to be a jerk-ass character ( because I personally don't like them either ). Hopefully, her personality will become a lot clearer in the new release.
@Ronnie: Yeah, I admit 2 hours is nowhere near enough time to accurately convey character personalities in an RPG. But I do love them, and it will be apparent in one of the many scenes in the game ( some of them are even hidden bonus scenes ^^ ).
A little off topic here now, but:
The thing is, writing female characters, while more fun than writing male characters, is either the author makes them too much of a dreaded 'Mary Sue' or the character is a 'Jerk Sue'. Either that or they are the damsel in distress, a mysterious staff chick *shudder* or irritating cheerful or a Moe * shudders even more*. It's just so hard to get that comfortable 'in-between' personality. This is a personal peeve of mine, but female characters tend to get labelled 'Mary Sues' more often than what perfect male characters get labelled 'Gary Stus'. I hate that.

@Nhubi: Oh, I do agree with you. I always set my equipment manually where possible, given the slew of accessories and equipment presented to you over the course of the game. But it's just there for players who want the best equipment by default, rather having to sort through everything.

Just one more scene... and an earlier release.
Yes, as soon as I wrap up stuff, they'll get it. Now, my next blog post will be something that has been bothering me for a while, but I'll add it tomorrow ( it's 10:50 PM and I'm tired... ), but it concerns the characters of the game.

@cokidoki: For now, yes. But I think the animated version will be ready in time
for the June release.
@bigtime. That's sort of the effect I'm going for. ^^ I don't want to much detail at the bottom, otherwise it would distract from that lovely logo. :D
