Thanks for that vote of confidence. I understand that the males head are a little larger than Laine's but, as long as it's not a drastic difference and doesn't affect the way players see the portraits, then it's all good with me. :)

Oh yeah. I still have to edit her sprite slightly to match up with her artwork. The shoulder armour on her left should also be changed. A tiny recolour, for that matter.

@andrepawney: Glad you liked it. And for Chapter Two, unfortunately, your save files won't work, since I'm working on a new world map, so some locations will have changed, but 1+2 will be combined in the release, and some changes have been implemented in the first chapter. So it will be worth playing through again. :) And Laine and Rolf/Pat will get more skills too. ^^ And you'll get 2 new party members.

I daresay I've coined a memetic mutation. I tend to call Siggy 'Seriously Sexy Siglud' or SSS. I like the alliteration. Or maybe it's just for the lulz.

Hehe, yeah, man-candy makes me laugh as well. ^^ Anyway, I did a quick edit of both that cloaked figure and Siglud, since the latter's head was too big in comparison to Laine's. Most frustrating, especially since I line up the art when illustrating them on paper, using Laine's portrait as a reference. ><
Siggy's and Laine's portraits in comparison now. Should look a bit better now, no? I tend to take their heights into comparison as well. Laine is 179cm ( around 5'9", I think ) and Siggy is real tall at 195cm ( 6'4"? ).
But I'm real happy with the way the art is turning out. I'm going to do some NPC art now as well. As for the background image above, I just meshed some RMXP and VXAce battlebacks together to get that effect. Since I'm real bad at doing background art, and I don't want to spoil the character art with a crappily rendered bg. ^^

I admit it was a little hard getting their eyes and mouth in, but here it is.
The faces in the windowskin can also express emotion for an image that I'm not normally able to draw in ( due to the 3 image limit for these scenes, also, the screen would probably be too cluttered with more than that ). For example, in this scene, when Laine draws her sword and points it at this hooded man, Patrick's reaction is one of fear. Now, because i don't have an image for that, his faceset should convey that in place of the missing image, since it's there for all of 2 seconds.
Hopefully, that makes some sense. :)
