I probably used too many colours too. I'll desaturate the yellow as well ( auto-tiles are a right pain to get right ).

Nah, it't not a bridge, just a different coloured road ( the upper part was supposed to be a raised platform, but I suppose it's not visible with the way I took the screen >< ). The area is supposed to look fairly dodgy, so I used different tiles to indicate a worn and well-trod road. Though I should probably just stick to two types of road tile.

Maybe that iteration of the town works better.

Fixed up my rather bland desert maps. I was still lacking some pixel assets for the desert-themed stuff, so I did some more.

Palm trees is love.

Yes, Addit. We're still waiting for your legendary Monopolo. I swear, its like an urban legend already. XD
Nah, I can't juggle two projects at once. Need to get Tristy done before even thinking of going back to Tairngire. If ever.

I personally liked the system as well, since it was an incentive to actually use those loot drops for useful equipment later down the line. Only difference between mine and FF12's was you didn't have to guess what kind of loot to sell ( that system had Kawazu's fingerprints all over it >< ), but I just need to implement it properly, if I even get around to it.
Also, loot drops gives me a deeper sense of world-building for the reasons Red stated. =)
At the moment, I'm more focused on delivering a cohesive plot and well-written characters, whether they're PCs, villains or even your ordinary NPC, than I am about just adding systems for the sake of adding systems.
With regards to those Crysalii, I can easily get rid of the whole stat-boosts ( since KGC's Stat Distribution is already there ) but keep the elemental 'buff'; aka using a Fire Crysalis raises your Fire Resistance by 5%, when it's used as an item. Hmm...

@Dookie and PC: I really do admire your clean, crisp pixel art. Kind of makes my own work look a bit messy. ><
@Blind: It's a nice map, but I think you're right about something. Going from your detailed mapping style in 2K3 and transitioning into MV while using the same high level of detail actually makes the map a little harsh on my eyes. Unless of course, you desaturate the tiles ( since MV's palette is blinding >< ). Then it could work. Or use a tint that drops the brightness.
I hate spriting cliff-tiles. I can never get them to align perfectly ;_;

Yes, I still draw now and then, but I'm awfully lazy at making portraits.
I don't know why she ( Laine ) still sticks with me, nearly five years after I first did a sketch of her. Maybe I care more about this that I'm letting on. It won't let me go, and its killing me. I have a project to finish, another one I care greatly about, but... (sigh)
But don't mind my rambling. I just wanted to get it off my chest on a Tuesday morning.

I suppose I just like the approach more. XD Also gives me a reason to write useless flavour text for loot drops.
If I am insane enough, I might do all the battlebacks, monsters, menus in a pixel-art style to match the tilesets. But I've got a tablet so I'll survive.

[Poll] Why You No Nominate For 2015 Misaos Yet, RMN?
342 votes is pretty absymal. I'm more or less with Sail in that there have been no games that have personally wowed me to the extent that I'd vote for it in a heartbeat, but also because I never really play RM games. >< Or get time.
Personally, I like the Misaos, but I think my time will only come next year. XD
